I love how all their real voices are similar to their characters, which shows there was an element of dramatic performance of the characters voices, but Rob is just John Marston all the time.

@@jkorkea The degree of separation between their speaking voices and characters is slight, meaning they can lean more into emotion than affectation. Rob is even further in that direction, given that his speaking voice is indistinguishable from John’s.

i believe they don’t call themselves voice actors because really they were doing motion capture acting using real voices for cut scenes and such, they did record saying and phrases in a booth, but they weren’t necessarily using a different voice

Honestly Rob seems like the most genuine and honest person involved in the media industry. He was a main character in one of the most expensive and successful media projects in history, was the voice of a legendary character that will be immortalized, and he is just happy enough to brag about making a home built chicken coop.

rdr2 will always remain sentimental to me, watching Arthur sacrifice for people he considered family to his last days, is a reminder of what my dad did for us, he had dementia, and he prepared us for him leaving , for months i walked around in a daze confused to why he would do what he did, but as time went on, we all understood, he really feared of doing harm to my mom when he was losing control of his mind which he fought to keep for 8 months. He did one more act of love, it was the hardest one we can't even imagine going through ourselves. I know this is just one story of many, but this was mine, and words can't even come close to how thankful I am to just play the game.

Well Take-Two Interactive (Rockstar's Parent company) did say GTA and Red Dead are permanent franchises in an earnings call years ago in like 2019 or 2020. So it isn't exactly that surprising

It would appear that the outstanding talent of these guys is arguably matched, or exceeded, by their real-life authentic personalities. All four actors come across as being so humble, down-to-earth and likeable; a far cry from so many of todays Hollywood actors, who can be so pompous and overbearing. Props to Claire too, who did a great job, especially when going above and beyond in capturing the greetings for the absent fan.

John Marston a legend character now 2 games. Must have been fantastic for Rob and Alex to come back into Rdr2. Dutch is so memorable as a villain you almost empathize with and two best characters in gaming history Marston and Morgan. There's a game in that title somewhere.

I really love the cast and this game so much I have spent so much time playing this game over and over again because its a game that never gets boring to me Im still finding new stuff with this game on each new playthrough new encounters new secrets a bunch of stuff hunting fishing robbing helping people. there is so much. and i have over 500hrs on the game. I never get tired of it and I CRY every time Arthur dies. and I still cant do an evil playthrough with him till this day everytime I say okay this is the playthrough im going to be evil then i end up with high honor lol but i truly love this game and everyone apart of it. its 100% got me through a lot of tough times. and I love westerns and spaghetti westerns so this was a perfect game. truly one of the greatest games OF ALL TIME
