Dress watches used to be known as watches. They are the only type of watch that makes sense to wear on a daily basis for everyone who does pretty much anything short of hard physical labor where a watch might get caught (oil rigs) or destroyed (jackhammer operators). If you have a "dress" watch and another cheap Casio for underwater activities and beating up while you're working around the house, you have everything that you need as far as watches are concerned. And that's coming from an enthusiast who is deep in the watch hobby. I don't understand the appeal of dive watches. I mean, I do when I see a Planet Ocean or a Sea Dweller (they are as impressive as any piece of fine machinery), but on further reflection I don't really get them. They definitely don't elevate your look unlike "dress" watches and yet people wear them as dress watches. That's kind of ironic. People used to wear "dress" watches everywhere from the church to the construction site to the front line. And nowadays they wear 600m rated divers as dress watches. Lol

I’m in total agreement with you. As someone who has been into watches and clocks for years and have many watches, for me, “dress” watches are ideal for me for most situations.

Watch looks great. Like the fonts that are being used on the dial. Find it a bit thick at 14.1mm. Maybe they will get thinner over time.

I asked and Baltany said they have no plans to make one with a date, truly insane as that movement has a date wheel.

Phenomenal watch with of course the glaring omission of the date. Hopefully they make one smaller and actually with a date down the line. Baltany is the king of vintage style watches and homage watches IMO. Thanks for the great review.

This is such an elegant watch! Interesting complication as well! I would prefer brushing as well! Perhaps this is a dress watch for us guys with the larger wrists! Hope you are having a great week Miguel!
