I've been using the Hybrid Carry-On for quite a while now, I've taken on about 4 domestic trips and 1 international now and love it. Between it and my backpack I'm covered for as long as I need, especially when packing capsule wardrobes and merino wool pieces. Got it in Obsidian Black and it's still pretty clean and scuff/scratch free since I also got the luggage cover.

Great quick review as always. I’m so interest in Monos luggage but as I talked about in my last comment I’ve got a system that works for me atm. Have you ever replaced the wheels on any of the Monos luggage? They look SUPER thin. I appreciate you mentioning it working well over cobblestone as I find that to be the real test for luggage wheels. Keep up the good work!

I have traveled with all of them except for this newest one, but have friends that have traveled with this one. I tested the luggage in my very first video too. If I ever have an issue with any of them, I will announce it for sure!

Love your reviews and travel tips. My question is , does the plus hold very much more than the regular? That particular colour would certainly camouflage scuffs and scratches .

Do the plus models fit in carry on for most domestic airlines? I’m looking at the pro plus specifically but want to make sure it fits. When I looked up delta specifications it seemed like the plus models wouldn’t fit

Delta takes anything. On Monday, I have my sizer video coming out where I test everything, but delta doesn’t have carry on sizers. They are so lenient

The plus is too big for most international airlines, the regular is good for all :)

Be sure to check your airline allowances, the plus isn’t international friendly :)

@@ItsTheKellys Good point - thank you! After I typed my comment I watched your airport comparison video for Monos and it was clear that the Plus doesn't fit with some of the airlines! As a woman traveling alone, I'm all for packing light, but I spent 5 weeks in the UK this year with just a 22" Travel Pro Rollaboard and it was quite a challenge to live out of such a small suitcase for so long! It seems to me you can fit more into the hardshell suitcases but I could be wrong.

I'm really conflicted between the carry on and carry on plus. I tend to me an overpacked and need as much space as possible however I want to be able to take my bag on any plane/flight even internationally without issues. Is the difference in size/capacity worth it?

Or I was thinking get the Monos check ins but get the July carry on expandable so I have some wiggle room there. @ItsTheKellys, any insights would help :)

The plus will have an issue on some domestic carriers and most international ones. Monos has a wonderful compression system (the best in my opinion) and with my tips, you can definitely overcome being an overpacker. If you need to, pack a packable duffel for buying things, and check the suitcase on the way home (when it’s not as much of a worry) I would never ever ever ever check a bag on the way TO a vacation.

It all depends on what you pack. If it’s all clothes and shoes, or toiletries and camera gear… you know? I’d say around 22-24?

How does this carry on compare to the BÉIS carry on? I find that the trolley handle of the BÉIS is very loose and not sturdy at all.

It’s the same size, but better on so many fronts. Better handle, better zipper, better compression. It’s just not expandable.

I would never take a “plus” size carry on onto an international flight. 45 linear inches or less :)

I haven’t used it a ton, as it’s too big for my travels. I think a big draw is how much it can match other bags, if aesthetic is something someone likes. I do like my personal item to match my luggage when I travel (silly I know)

I think anything with a pattern will age better than anything solid! If there was a scuff, it would probably blend in!

Does anyone else have an issue with the compression board affecting the ease of the handle sliding up and down? I have to take the board out to make it work properly which kind of defeats the purpose. I can't fit any more in this plus size than I can in my smaller Level 8.

I’ve never had a handle issue but I’ve heard of other people having handle issues. I always pack mine insanely full, but I don’t pack around the handle grooves, I just have packing cubes on top of them, and use the compression pad as hard as it can go.

@bangmateo7481 depends on the airline. Most are 45 linear inches of allowance, and remember about other airlines that some of your favorites may work with. Such as United being Lufthansa or delta being KLM or Air France. I would never bring that size overseas. They will immediately stop you to gate check it.
