Just bought RG35XX. A little jewel this console. I'm replaying all the titles from my childhood. Only downside I've seen so far on ps1 titles is a slight audio delay and sometimes some writing in the subtitles is like missing pieces of letters.

@PiotrDrummerPL Change BIOS from settings, there is a custom one available. Sometimes the emulator does not work properly with original ps1 bios, so there is a backup one available.

Awesome video! You helped me realize that this devices form factor is pretty bad. The gameboy was never meant to have L and R triggers.

@@DJogdog I'd say the RG35XX feels more comfortable than the Miyoo Mini Plus due to its slightly larger size, it's trigger buttons are also designed with a larger surface area, not as cramped as the Miyoo Mini Plus

Not at all, at least for me. The dpad is nice enough, unless you want to play games like ape escape. But then again I mostly play turn based games/games that don't really require analog sticks.

@@syfamilytv The analog controls on Playstation didn't come in until much later, or it's already got a wealth of games that run as they should/can, without them... Some people hate L2/R2 for camera panning/rotation, but there's also PC MaStER cLaSs & Steamdeck owners/cult, that will give every reason why it's not as good or "proper" as a $3,500 thing. I feel like while it's good to be conscious of control schemes/layouts, it's more important on the HOW to play the game, or mostly, how to ENJOY playing the game! Is the bottom line.. Analog stick sometimes is more comfortable, for some more than others, but if you've ever enjoyed playing DMG Game Boy, or even something like Nintendo DS/Lite/etc, I don't think you'll miss an analog stick. For all the naysayers, there's probably a whole lot more people who do or would like a V90, or X18, or Miyoo Mini ... not everything needs HDMI out, dual analogs, 5.1" screens and a week/s worth of groceries in $$... I've got 2 RG35XX already, and still debating buying a third for all colorways, even though there's only two "versions" out yet (a battery upgrade & I think firmware may differ..)... Weigh your own decisions, and even to the point that if you don't like it, do you think someone else would? Besides the 400 comments on Reddit why Steamdecks are just superb & superior in all ways.. I'd say my V90, Q90, RG350 (OG), Miyoo Mini and RG35XX have the most miles yet. Retroid Pocket 3TB+ Plus Ses are nice, there's a whole lot of Anbernic doodads out that are swell! But deflating my bankroll is discouragement from trying out "new device" every few weeks, when they get more expensive and "budget friendly" somehow got skewed to the $99< range??? Even gimmicks like the FunKey or GameGear Mini, $200 is funny, considering the actual struggle to find enjoyment playing on a stamp-sized screen. TL;DR - Want to buy a $150 something, or have a similar experience, fun times & order out food/buy a case of Rolling Rock for the same price!? With enough to leave a tip!!??

It can sounds funny, but it's cool that we live in times where you can buy handheld like this which runs PS1 perfectly. I mean I wasn't growing up when PS1 was a thing, but it's a nice opportunity to me to buy that handheld and try PS1 games that I didn't have a chance to experience

When the PSP came out it was mind blowing. Being able to play a bit past PS1 graphics or close to ps2 was amazing to have in your pocket. Also being able to browse the internet, watch movies and so on before smart phones were a think. I still have my PSP from launch day 2005! It was so much fun going to the midnight launch with a few friends and then being able to play with/against them wireless either over the high schools wifi or ad-hoc between the PSPs. Plugging them into the TV with the component cord was really cool too for the time. Truly a portable playstation. Playing medal of honor heroes multiplayer against each other was always fun and I was always the best haha. So many hours of playing. We would often stay after school in the library just to all play together. We stayed after every single monday and tuesday to play. Star wars battlefront 2 was amazing to play together as well. There was usually at least three of us sometimes four. It was a special time for video games. I have so much more fun playing those older shooter games than I do any of the new stuff lol. It's just a bit calmer and it isn't so over the the top and insanely fast paced like all the new FPS games are.

This might be stupid but all of these games are preinstalled on internal storage? Or an SD card it comes with? Also odd it doesn't come with the first crash bandicoot. My mom is in the hospital for a while and she absolutely loves crash bandicoot. I couldn't get it to run on my pi no matter what I have tried. I wish I could afford one of these for her right now. She would love this. It's impressive a $67 device runs PS1 so well out of the box!

Mine comes from the 64GB SD card. Most of these games are installed on the External storage, although a couple may be in the internal storage. I can't guarantee what comes in each unit, though judging from experience, it should be roughly the same, with only 1-2 different games. Anyways, wishing her a speedy recovery!

12:01 that’s not the first ridge racer. It has 2 copies of ridge racer type 4 unfortunately. I noticed this yesterday when testing out my rg35xx. Also the road rash on the 128gb card is actually road rash 3D.

Yup, you are right. Strangely the Miyoo Mini Plus also had the same mistake two copies of Ridge Racer Type 4. Apparently they must get their colldction of ROMS from the same place

My anbernic RG35XX crash very often when playing Need for Speed 3, almost at the beginning of the race, also it does on Marvel vs Capcom on training mode. Could it be the stock memory SD? People say it's pretty bad quality.

I'm a fan of the miyoo min plus as I can play turn based games with one hand! the RG35XX is better if you need a bigger screen, but playig on one hand is a bit too tiring too. Rather than the RG353PS, I would give a shout to rg353vs which is also a vertical handheld

As someone who bought the ps1 when it was released, these devices astound me for the money. This is what, £55? It has 55 PS1 games. If you had said to me back in 1995 that i could pay £1 per game for 55 games on a handheld device which would then pay for itself AND it has the complete library of nes, snes, master system, megadrive, neo geo, arcade, gameboy, GBA etc etc, my tiny brain would not be able to compute it!!!!!!!!
