The reason why the audience screams so load and Onew cries during this performance of "Rainy Blue" is because this was Onew's first solo performance since having vocal surgery. It was a really scary surgery because there was no guarantee that he would ever be able to sing again, let along at the same quality as he did before the surgery. Onew spent about 3 months after his surgery not being able to speak at all in order to give his vocal cords time to heal and then he had to learn to sing all over again. This performance was proof to himself and the fans that he could still do it and that nothing had changed. This song was also super meaningful because the original Japanese songwriter had the same surgery as Onew and he was never able to sing again.The songwriter composed "Rainy Blue' after his surgery and the song is about how he felt now that he had to give up something that was so precious to him, etc. The song is kind of saying how the world around him kept moving forward while time stood still for him during his recovery because of how hard it was to deal with the fact that he might not be able to keep singing. For the writer, he kept chasing the happiness of singing but sadly could no longer do so. Luckily Onew's surgery had a much better outcome than the composer and it seems to not have had much of an affect on his voice. Thank goodness because the world would be a much sadder place if we could no longer hear Onew's beautiful voice. :D And, yes Taemin is our eternal maknae vampire. :D Some of the time. In certain performances and MVs the way Taemin is dressed and the whole authentic of the video or stage, such as in this "Rain Blue" performance, really does give of vampire vibes.

Shinee was well known to be pushed by the company SM into anything new. They told SHINee to wear skinny jeans and they did. They told SHINee to guest in new tv shows and they. They told SHINee to go out there and promote make up and they were spokesmen for Saem and Etude House. Whatever was new and about to trend whether clothes, make up shows, food products then SHINee were the ones to promote it. SHINee was the experimental group for SM not only in music but all things. They were never the group to say no to their company and they are very well respected in their company. During their debut Taemin carried a backpack of lollipops and would tell people to listen to their song Replay. There were no teasers, conference, promotions when SHINee debuted like groups nowadays do. Shinee didn't tell their parents about their debut until the day of their debut. SHINee although from a big company, had a very humble beginning.

One thing about SHINee that i love is that each member has their own distinct colour they can bring into the table that we can witness from their solos. But bring all five together it is a whole another level. I guess that is why i'm still a fan of SHINee even after 9years+ they just alway brings something new be it as a group or solo. onew, the one who sang rainy blue has actually done hit musicals in Korea (key has also done great musicals). During his second musical was when he had to undergo surgery, so even though he practiced he couldn't perform that musical. he also has the record for holding the longest high note(without even changing the tone and pitch) till now in kpop when he sang 'friend' in their early concert(2010 I believe) before his surgery... he also performed in 2 patriotic musical tours when he is military (one as supporting character and other as the lead)and was highly praised by many on national tv too

I think the concert showed their individual persona. On Minho's part i thought it showed that he can be very manly at times (dancing with the ballerina) but can also be so gentle and very caring to kids. It's so amazing that they are so different.. but when they are on stage they become one and perform harmoniously.... it's their brotherly love that made them stand by each other through thick and thin 😊😊😊 I❤Shinee... thank you for giving so much effort reacting to this... i can tell that you were truly amazed by their passion and love for music. When you said, "models should be walking the runway," I was like "Be careful Monq, Santa mignt just drop you the gift." That's Key with the pink hair who did the Dj's job for Amigo and Dynamite mash up. Jonghyun's solo was high class stage. He warmed up the stage for the succeeding solos after him. Onew (leader) has a very unique voice. His voice is the same when he sings and talk. Everyone already commented on the reason behind Onew's tears so I will add that Onew owns the longest breath in a song in KPOP. He held the note for 40secs long. In another TD concert 2016 (spoiler) he will sing Nessun Dorma, that's about the length of my spoiler for you. Key, the pink diva, surprised us with his diva-sh stage. Nothing ever goes wrong with a Key stage. Minho, i always believe he made us calmed and prepped up for the last solo that's why his stage was light, loads of fun and children. Going to the last solo, Taemin burned the stage. He owned it. Taemin slayed it. No more words for me. 😁 Almost forgot, Taemin learned how to play piano by ear. He listens and plays it. Thank you Mr. MONQ for this series. Always more power and God protect your family. 🙏

29:58 this is my ultimate kpop bias Onew. Hes got the voice of an angel. He can sing R&B, pop, and even opera. So much talent in him. You were even amazed by his tap dancing. He had surgery on his vocal cords and was afraid of how it would affect his voice. Its still as beautiful as ever. I cant wait for him to return from the Military in 100 days. 37:08 this is Key. Maybe you should see more SHINee guides or react to SHINee as soloists to know the members a little more. Onew has a very distinct voice. He was the one you called Key during Rainy Blue but it was Onew. He performed after having had that nodes in throat surgery. It's why he cried. He was unsure if he had the range vocally as before. Key do a little of everything. He was the one being a dj. The one with pink hair. Funny you said he should perform with Madonna cause he is well known or called a Diva. He is just very bold and confident in my opinion. He has an all English song in his mini album. He also sang a song with a group called Years and Years with the song called If You're Over Me. He is very fluent in English. When SHINee tours in North America, he will be the main one to speak and introduce SHINee.

Kibum as DJ is just wow! And I’m not sure you realized the whole mix was created based on SHINee songs. So they sang fragments from Amigo (which you already know) and Dynamite, but there was Spoiler there and Nightmare as well. Man, SHINee concerts are unbelievable experience.

Onew’s cover of Rainy Blue with Taemin on piano is perfection. It was Onew’s first concert since having surgery on his vocal chords the summer before. So it was a long wait until the spring for this. Which is why he cried at the end of it - probably because he worried about whether or not he’d be able to perform like that again. For Minho... if I recall correctly, SHINee likes to include a lot of fan service in their concerts - so there’s at least one cutesy song for the fans who like their “cute” image. So Minho took one for the team with this tour 😆 But he genuinely does love kids! The kiddie song is about playing Rock Paper Scissors - so you see him playing the game with the crowd at the end of the song. SHINee solos are my favorite part about a lot of their older concerts but unfortunately the solos on the Korean concerts got cut from the DVDs (because they were covers and would’ve had copyright issues). But you can see fancams on KZbin of their older solos. 😊

If you think Taemin's sexy for being shirtless, just listen to the crowd when Jinki rolls up his sleeves XD ...one of Key's nicknames was Keymera, because he honestly can find a camera anywhere. Rainy Blue - Onew chose this song because the original singer also had vocal cord surgery, but his surgery failed and he never sang again. Onew sang it in honor of him. My 84yo mother cried with him, the first time she watched Rainy Blue. But, y'know, it's a sad song. SHINee have some of the best voices in kpop, and that's really saying something. Born to Shine - Ah, the part where Key murders a fan live on stage. XD Got the idea from 50 Shades of Grey. I'd never seen an idol wearing bondage gear on stage before this! More tomorrow when it's not...squints...12:45 in the morning. Ha!

That song you are referring to is a song that all FIVE members sang. SHINee members went with how they wanted to treasure him. They are adults with decisions on their own. SM is shitzzy but I commend how they handled it. It was not easy. But they respected the members’ pace and what they wanted to do next.

SM & UMJ were perfectly fine with them canceling the show. Honestly, they did it also to show fans that they weren’t going to break up after what happened and to be with fans, no matter how hard it was. Please watch some of their interviews.

I dont think they forced them they said it was the best way for them to grief and get back to their normal lives. not losing a sense of your own identity and life is an important factor. they all went to therapy and they said they themselves decided to do it so they can be with shawols and we can heal together.

They weren't forced, they took the decision to hold the concert together with the blessings of Jonghyun's family. You can read their thoughts about holding the concerts on the letters they each released with their decision.

So please stay in your lane an accept the fact that it was their way of doing things. They stated that they were given the option of canceling everything even disbanding without the formalities of the usual contract. It was THEM who decided to keep this legacy alive and do the meetings and the concert. So please dont spread all this negativity and just trust in SHINee's ability to make decisions after losing a brother. Even SM isnt THAT stupid.

No. They got the option to cancel the concert. They even got the option to disband and stop being SHINee, but they decided to do it in Jonghyun's name. The emotions weren't there because they were forced into it, but it was completely normal fot them to react strongly in that situation.
