U U U U- U68!! Guitar flipping before it was cool! Haha. Remember seeing this on U68 when I was 18 and used to go to Lamour East all the time. Ah yes. New York metal scene in the 80s. Good times. Good times.

I used to see them a lot in the 80s. As I recall they cancelled their gigs a lot...never knew why...it's all kind of blur to me now. This was the first time I would see a group spinning their guitars, which was new to me and fascinating. The only other footage I ever discovered of guitar spinning much later on was by the Four Vagabonds who filmed spinning their stringed instruments in the 1940s.

They had a double page spread in a local music paper for their “Night of the living dead” show here on Long Island. I had seen them every time they came here. Last minute the show was canceled….I was crushed. I think that was the last I heard from them.

Yea I used to see them when I was friends with Stan, (The other guitarist). Until the band, (Billy) did him dirty and fired him for an issue which he didnt understand. You would have thought that the band, (Billy) would have at least paid him some of the money that Stan had helped generate. He walked away with nothing. Richie P was a decent enough guy.

these guys were around in the NY clubs prior to the glam scene '83-'85. Glam didn't really start until 1986 - in Hollywood. The lead singers father owned a lighting and sound company and completely financed the band. Saw them many times at The Rising Sun and L'Amour back in he 80s. Things is - the lead singer was actually quite a good singer - but in a horrible, cliched band.

Ugh.... this is the reason why hard rock died in the middle 1980’s....Not there fault...just the natural fate of every band that followed every band back then.
@TheJetfighter6665 жыл бұрын
Jesse Rozycki Since when did hard rock or metal ever die? What planet do you live on? Planet top 40?? Metal got faster and heavier in 87!! Do you think bands just went away because some one waved a magic wand? No! Metal became a “ fad “ in the early 80’s . It was born out of TNWOBHM! American bands watered it down and ruined it with shit like quiet Riot, Ozzy, Dokken, Motley Crue. No hard rock/ metal never went anywhere, you did! and the rest of the know nothings! There are thousands of great heavy bands out there right now!! Always were, always gonna be!! I don’t mean Gretta Van Fleet either!!! You know, everything looks corny and dated when we look back at a style or fad. That is the way of the world. Some bands transcend, some don’t. God! Some of the worlds best bands didn’t even start until the 90’s and 2000’s!! Go out, discover, search it out. Believe me, the music still rocks hard son!

Sure! Of course you know bands like Maiden, Saxon, ManOwar are still out there making new albums and touring. Psychedelic music is happening again and just so much. I am 63 now so I don’t like the screaming, growling groups so I will leave them out. My favorite bands over the last fifteen years are The Helacopters and a great fun band that combine classic punk and metal called Turbo Negro. So many Stoner Rock bands like Wolf’s Tooth!! To me, they are a modern day Maiden. I love sHeavy from Canada. So Sabbath!! More stoner bands to check out are-Nashville Pussy, YOB,Saint Vitas,Hermano,Orange Goblin,Witch Craft, Fireball Ministry , Monster Magnet,Black Wizard,Queens Of The Stone Age,Witch,Dixie Witch, SeaOf Green to start with. There are litterely hundreds more. I could make your head spin!! Or if you like classic Metal? Um... Fire Wind, Dust Sucker Seven Witches I could go on all night. Go to you tube. When you put a band in to listen, they will always give you suggestions on the right. I can give you great bands from the 70’s!! Enough to last you a life time. Listen to my bands The BEAST!! GLORIONBLAK!! And TYRANT!! Rock out with your cock out!! Get make in touch. Ronnie Ace Acerra! Red Bank/ Pikeville KY/ Clifton NJ! New album coming next year GIGANTIS!! Look for it!!❤️
