Jared believes that if you really want to have the most fun with a superbike in India, then you need to get naked.
I don’t know how many times I’ve said it before, but here I go again - big superbikes are not fun to ride in India! A litre class superbike with outright performance is the last bike I would ever consider storing inside my garage, unless I had direct access to a proper racetrack. Unfortunately, if you don’t live anywhere near Delhi or Chennai, the chances of getting to a proper racetrack are slim.
The performance that the modern supersport bike offers is mind blowing, and they have so much performance that you barely scratch the surface of their potential when riding on Indian roads. And that’s where mid-segment naked bikes come into play. These lighter versions of sports bikes are far more comfortable to ride and far easier to manage in cities and urban areas. But, not only that, the best thing about the mid-segment ‘nakeds’ is that you can actually push them very close to their limits with far more confidence - making them a hell of a lot more enjoyable to ride.

A really great review! I’ve owned 3 monsters, 2 speed triples and I now have the MV 675 brutale. I have to say that of all the bikes I’ve owned the MV is by far the most exhilarating.

great work... But missing out on the z900 and gsx s750, the perfect mid weight rides for the Indian market, plus they are much affordable ...

I actually can 't decide between the Monster and the Street Tripple myself. Any opinions on how these bikes feel for the passenger? (both in terms of seat position and engine vibrations)
@sacredgeometry

For the passenger? Pillion passenger? The street is not a comfortable pillion bike. I own a 765 RS. That said none of these bikes are going to be. To drive its an absolute dream, not at all vibey and very comfortable. I am 6ft2 on the dot so I am not sure how tall this reviewer is but it fits me like a glove.

Nice review. I just purchased the Street Triple R and it is by far the best motorcycle I’ve ever owned. What a bike. I imagine any of these would put a pretty big smile on your face!!

Guy if you are bored of the 300 and have your endorsement you are totally ready. The power delivery on the Triumph is very forgiving and if you find it to be a bit much at first, put it in rain mode for a while. I will say just watch it once you get the revs past 8k as it really does have some power but you don’t have to use it all. It’s light, fast and very easy to ride. Go for it and congrats, I guarantee you won’t get bored of it!! Im stoked any day I get on mine and was a bit intimidated myself for the first month I had it, but now I’m just stroked everyday.

Guy I know it’s looks can be a bit divisive for some. I too think it looks great but get ready cause it will spoil you for other bikes. It’s just so well made and refined feeling. There’s a reason these come with a premium price tag. I also test rode and FZ-09 when I was looking and while it’s a great bike, it just felt cheaper, jerkier and overall less smooth, and I’m a Yamaha fan. I have an R6 as a dedicated track bike. Having owned 3 other Triumphs (I still have a 2002 Sprint RS) this latest iteration of the Street Triple line, motor/chassis combo is damn near perfect in my estimation!! Definitely go for the R or RS model as you really get a lot more for the money. Congrats Guy!! I’m super stoked for you!!

Guy Dude!!! So stoked for you. Yes it’s very point and shoot. Ride your own ride and let the power come to you. It’s the best motor/chassis combo I’ve ever had and I’ve been riding for 25 years. Very confidence inspiring!! As you know “Slow and Smooth=Fast and Safe”. Have a blast and look forward to hearing more. Just know you can really pitch this thing around like your 300 but you have a well of never ending power. Respect it and the rewards are never ending. Feel free to reach out at rontrose@gmail.com. I can give you all my contact info. I love to chat about bikes in general. I’m 51 now and am still learning every time I ride. Big big congrats!!! That is a primo refined machine you have there!!!

Nicely done. Own the Monster and recommend the Triumph...interesting summary. Can you elaborate on why you would rather own the Monster?

because the monster suits his riding style and looks. I've got a Monster and a Street Triple, I prefer the Street Triple. The Monster just sits there now.

Nice video. But the monster 797 is not a rival for the other machines. The Monster 821 is the bike to go. Also where is the Z900?

Rahul Allan we mentioned in the beginning that the z900 was not available and the Suzuki and monster821 were launched after we shot this .... I also mentioned at the end of the video that the z900 would have been the best bike in this if we had it ... Glad you liked the video

Nice Review... Triumph is a beast ...but i would go for the shiver ... its by far the cheapest(in europe) and also nice and comfy for a passenger ... the 821 (797 is tooo old from technical standpoint) would fit much better to the others ... but ... nice job !!! Thankyou!

Good video! I never was a fan of "less is more on the street" when it comes to power though, regardless if we're talking about cars or bikes. I always prefer to have more power, even if I'm not using it all the time. Because when you can use the 140 or 160 or 200hp (on a bike, or 500hp in a car), it's another level of joy and bikes like the MT-10/Speed Triple/S1000R etc just stop time and traffic in a quick twist of the wrist. That you can never get with a middleweight bike. And at the end of my day with the MT-10, I was lusting for even more power.
