The video explains each step of the manufacturing process behind this gold chain in clear detail. It includes beautifully cinematic footage of the entire process, from the alloying of the gold to the final polishing and modeling of the completed chain.
Main steps to making our Miami Cuban link chain (see below):
00:00 Mixing the gold and making the two bars necessary to make chain.
02:15 Molding the bars to the right gauge using the rolling mill and draw-plate machine.
03:25 Twisting the gold wire using two pliers onto a copper bar of the required diameter.
03:54 Cutting through the coil to form the individual links of the Cuban chain.
04:23 Cleaning, interlocking, and welding the links together.
05:46 Aligning and flattening the links using an industrial twisting machine and wrench.
06:48 Affixing the chain to a board with Shellac glue, then filing the chain down to flatten it.
08:40 Touch up inspection and polishing of the chain.
09:20 Making the special CRM-branded clasp for the chain.
11:41 The finished chain and dimensions.
12:02 Carlos modeling the Cuban link chain.
