I'm an essential worker (not in the medical frontlines but nonetheless) and so I have many very complicated feelings about life right now personally. I'm eternally grateful to still be able to pay for my and my fiance's necessities. But at the same time... every day I work, I wake up and choose to put my life, and other's lives at risk... I feel guilt and fear and shame. But I feel pride at the same time. Like I'll tell my kids/nieces/nephews one day about how I supported the community while the world healed.
