​@@CrimsonShadow-1941 exactly, the gameplay was neat and the second beta announcement was the cherry on top (I'm aware that it's not the updated version but I barely had time to play the first one so I'm glad that it's coming back regardless), but I still would've liked to see more. On the bright side: they were showing every single monster short for final bosses in the trailers for World and Rise, so the lack of a new trailer definitely has its upsides if I'm being honest.

I think I've figured out the Firespring happens "naturally" in the oilwell basin. It's the Ajarakans. We've seen them get a fire shell by grinding their backs as opposed to actually using the environmental fire, and that coupled with all the sparks from the stuff they do, makes me think that the Ajarakans are the cause of the Firespring. Basically their shenanigans cause the oil to catch fire, and because its all oil, fire spreads quickly. And that's why the Firespring draws the black flame, cause for him Aj's are food. Also why they attacked the village, Black Flame has developed instincts to track the source of the flame, as it's supposed to be an Aj (and therefore a meal), so when the village did it manually, it instinctively attacked the village in the same way.

​@@zeawing6022 I feel like Kehzu is getting all of the spotlight because he is the OG, but Gigginox literally reproduces throughout the hunt... there's barely anything weirder they could've done with a monster. Also, Gigginox' glowing sensory organs would look even more hauntingly cool in modern day graphics. If it's not in base Wilds, I hope that it'll be at least in the expansion which is to be expected further down the line.

So uhhh, guys, at the 10:36 mark with this, the Ajarakan…is the first Fanged Beast who’s tail you can cut off to my knowledge. Because normally they don’t have tails you can sever. You can break them sure, but not actually sever!

I did adore that, in the English ajarakan video, the the black flame caused technical... Octopus based, difficulties so they had to do a second take of the ajarakan wake up. The Japanese videos had different weapons but they didn't have anything that was this funny. It's not all white sharpness, It's like if the Rise system just had one color and didn't tell you visually when you change colors. We see thsi when it turns blue. I'm so happy he's a blast monster, not just another fire monster. Well, even if we saw it in the weapon tree, only status we haven't seen a monster for yet is sleep. I do also love that blast now has this orange section of your health bar to tell you how much damage it will do, looks like it's stronger to compensate for that. I don't remember blast doing that much ever. This is later than 6 hours. If you look at the materials, the naming scheme tells us it's high rank.. They say carapace instead of shell, they have a + on a lot of the materials too. This is high rank footage, the rest wasn't. Also, getting white sharpness in low rank would be weird. For skills, we see resentment proc in the Japanese gameplay, in Japanese it translates to "grudge" but it is just resentment since it expires when the red health is gone.

I think this is probably going to be my favorite locale in Wilds, at least during the dark and oily segments more than the Firespring segments, because of how much it reminds me of the Vale. The only way another locale could take my attention is if a certain Leviathan were to make an appearance...

Not sure why but at 7:42 and 10:53 the sharpness bar starts flashing black just as it looks like its gonna drop to green sharpness. It working as just an indicator seems redundant since the bar shows where it'll break so maybe like a new type of protective polish situation?

21:13-21:18 Gogmazios' tar is basically his sweat - which he weaponizes (and only his own tar). unless there's somehow a LOT of Fire Herbs growing in the Oilwell Basin (the item that makes Gunpowder, which Gog eats, and it's why he raids the Battlequarters in 4U), he's not appearing there. just because it's an oil map, doesn't mean Gogmazios will appear in that locale. he sweats oil, but he doesn't eat it for nourishment nor "ammunition". if anything, a tar-based Piscine Wyvern is more plausible.

21:16 i may know a way on how they could bring back gog, have him as a peaceful living landmark, a monster that the hunters leave alone for good reasons, one of them being that the people living in the oilwell village actually worship gog because he is a source of "infinite tar / oil" which is used a lot in that village and also if i remember correctly the only reason we fight a gogmazios in 4U is because it smelled gun powder (it's main food source) in the fortress and wanted to eat it, so it was agressive because it was frustrated it couldn't get his food, and i'm willing to bet that when it is not actively looking for food, Gogmazios is a pretty chill dragon that doesn't attack anything because it wouldn't benefit it but will occasionaly remind the other dragons around what he is capable of and what he can do to them by leveling a hill or two. But for wilds, have him hang around in the largest rooms of the Oilwell bassin and firespring and not be aggressive at all and he will sometimes take a look / hang near the village, and if you bring enough blast/gunpowder you will be granted materials from the stuff that's stuck to his back and also maybe get some of his materials so you can craft his weapons and armor.

Ajarakan is probably the closest thing to Voljang we'll ever get in the main series. Also 4:24 he literally becomes a beyblade, then into a inferno and then proceeds to dive bomb you, simply epic.
