the Oilwell Basin being deep sea themed makes so much sense for why the Black Flame is there but also explains the Ajarakan and Rompoplo a bit more...they're a crab/turtle and a jellyfish in a way

in the jp hunts you can also see that in some way shape or form either through the skill itself or as a set bonus of some kind ajrakan gear has resentment on it. when the hunter is hit in the ajarakan gear you see a skill activate pop up and a damage buff above the hp bar and when the red hp is healed you see the skill deactivation pop up and the damage buff above the hp goes away

I think the only reason the oil isn't slowing that hunter down is because the armor likely has a "Mirewalker" like ability to prevent that.

The slinger could use the chill mantle bugs but it's likely gonna be dung pods like old games to escape grabs. World had this as well.

The chill mantle bugs are just environmental cool drinks. There's already vigormantle bugs in the beta that you could grab by slinger or by hand, and they gave you a heal, same naming convention means same use, just for heat resistance instead of restoring health.

As excited as I am for the game and the proob series I’m equally excited for the streams potentially coming back. Hunting with Josh, Cotton, now also Hollow I assume, and the other patreon members is always awesome. You get to see a different side, the still goofy but also “we play this professionally and are actually good” side that is often missed because of how the Proob series is recorded.

It's not just the white sharpness, the materials have the high rank naming conventions. Materials have the + after their name and shells are called carapace instead. I adore both of these monsters. I'm so happy that agarakan is blast. We have too many fire monsters in the series, relative to other elements/statuses. This also means, for status monsters, we're just missing a sleep monster so far. Does he even know what a bayblade is? Those a spinning tops that spin horizontally. Not a ball spinning vertically. God, some people that supposedly have 20 20 vision really need training on how to use their eyes. Congalala beats ajarakan, in terms personality filled death animations, but I still love this guy.

He is the first fanged beast with a severable tail (at least in mainline, idk about frontier). None of the monkeys, bears, or gammoth have one, some have breakable tails, but none with a severable tail that gives you a carve

Hey, i just want to say that we can be pretty sure, that this is high rank gameplay because the materials the hunters get from the wound breaks are for example scale+ and so on. So this is a good evidence for high rank in my opinion;)

Why does everybody keep stating this as fact? In normal games, yes it is right. BUT in every Wilds video they have shown off, AND in the beta, monsters dropped material+; unless the beta was high rank, in which case, were we all killing high rank Rey Dau's in 10-15 minutes with low rank equipment?

you missed a detail right at the start of this video. the Hunter puts down the Palico because the Seikret touched them on the back, made a gesture implying "my turn", and then the Hunter rubs the Seikret's chest, with the latter's forelimbs stretching upwards.
