No doubt: Gemma (the Smithy) is Little Miss Forge. She's wearing the Caravaneer's jacket, has the blonde hair and blue eyes, even has a little Yian Kut-Ku doll that looks like the ones Guildmarm is said to make in 4U. Edit: The Admiral-looking guy in the flashback sequence is another characrer from MH4, specifically Ace Lancer. The hair is virtually identical to his 4/4U self, the only additions are a few more grey streaks and a shaggy-looking beard. The yellow scarf is a nice touch to call back to his golden armor in 4U.

Hahaha, the monsters are so cool. Both the Coward Lion from the Wizard of Oz, and the Big tongue dodogama thingie (Lickygama?). Switching weapons mid-ride? Yoinking slinger ammo on the move? Escape move with your raptor? BLOCKING the monster in a power struggle with your GS? So many cool things. The hype!

As a GS main that had me so hyped! That new uppercut slice into tackle, then smoothly into what looks like a forward running slice? And that second move where the hunter drags the blade across the leg, looks ALOT like the tenderise GS attack, which I'm guessing is what this new wounding system is

Yo Ruri! At 1:24 when the Hunter goes through the storm and a sandpit appears to capture the pack of Doshaguma's, it appears to be ANOTHER MONSTER that is trying to trap them. When the surviving Doshaguma emerges from the sandtrap, you actually see the other Monster being thrown by it!! Looks like a crocodile or sometype. Really exciting Trailer!! Love it!

In that last frame thats 100% a new Showdown/ topple minigame. We locked into that animation very much locked into it. We probably mash bhttons or QTE it out to get a topple with a monster. Make it more natural than that of clutch. Also cool shit on the world save.

Really hopin mounting mid combat ie; extra manoeuvrability in combat doesnt mean they go the iceborne/rise route of crack cocaine monsters that move at mach 20

Near the end of the clip where the hunter in monster are in a deadlock makes me hope that that will be some new mechanic to resist monsters pinning us similar to how the monster resists us when we mount them.

In this trailer, we got new counter attack for great sword, Alma made everyone think she's the world handler in her 30s. We also got the ace lancer getting someone to do an expedition. Overall, MH wilds is promising Oh and this is the first time our hunter actually has a story

so the new handler gives me nico from dmc5 vibes w the look but also mama from death stranding shes precious the new smithy tho thats also nico from dmc5 but mixed w cindy from ff15 fucking best waifu the new cabra needs a plushie asap it literally fights WITH ROCK AND STONE and its jaw gives off deviljoh vibes its also just as obnoxious w the chin charge and such its just a mini jho toad it is 100% gunna be a fan favorite mascot monster and if we see a stories 3 i want it in there ill do a run soley w that beastly lil bro the focus mode fees like hey now u can actually swing where your aiming and hit parts without learning the motions and stiff controls so thats a huge huge improvement in gameplay for sure and the dual weps on a hunt and mounted combat is sick slinger that gathers while riding too hell yes this game looks fantastic and i love the duality we have w titles of super realistic and serious then the second team does the crazy over the top stuff like rise and gu thats what the ip needs is a good duality in titles that let the fandom have some nice change up in gameplay to choose what they like or mix it up if they like both and obviously stories is a dif line of game all together so we have this franchise at probably the peak of what it could be right now w this next gen coming given gen 5 has been alot of fun a very very good step up for the franchise
