I have been CHASING for a way to listen to Rey Dau’s theme ever since the trailer. Considering this’ll be the closest we get until we can get our hands on the game/demo(??? A guy can dream he’ll be in it), I am glad it’s as astounding as I hoped. Now, the problem is to not listen to this too much so I don’t get overly sick of the theme when I face him for the first time, nor consider it a downgrade if it doesn’t live up to this fantastical arrangement!

@@vvinterfiower The Windward Plains theme is the one heard in the weapon trailers. I haven't seen enough Gamescom footage to verify whether it's true that this theme also plays when you fight multiple monsters, but if you fight just the Alpha Doshaguma, the music from the weapon trailers plays, while for Rey Dau, the theme in this video plays. (For Chatacabra, a less intense theme plays, which is pretty obviously a Medium monster theme like they existed in World). It could be that this is "just" an Apex monster theme for the Windward plains (having Apex themes for each area would be a new thing), but for now, we only know it plays for Rey Dau, so calling it Rey Dau's theme for now is appropriate.

I think it's potentially one of the flagships rather than THE flagship. I have a hunch that Wilds is going for another Fated Four-esque approach in this game. Generations had 4 flagships and I think Wilds will be similar, with each areas Apex monster being one of the games flagship monsters. With of course the usual end game monster being a secret till the game releases.
