No, the Doshagumas (dog bear lions) are a proof of concept for the Pack Monster, not the Flag Ship. Chatacabra (Ape Frog) I think it to show off the textures, like the wet patch he leaves to make his arms sticky, and the details of the tongue and mouth. Wouldn't expect the flagship until near to release, and probably a super hype monster.

Sincerely hoping more baby monsters are in the game like that, like baby tetsucabra. If this game is really leaning into the relationships between monsters and their environments and such, I think it'd be cool to see how some of them interact with their offspring or how they don't at all. Talking seriously though, I'm loving all the hints to details from 4 Ultimate. The blonde smithy chick is definitely Little Miss Forge grown up (she even has one of Guildmarm's plushies, a Yian Kut-Ku, on her belt), and the man talking to the hunter later in the trailer looks like an older Ace Lancer. From a gameplay standpoint, the maps may be enormous, but I actually kinda doubt that it'll be open world, which I actually prefer because Monster Hunter's game design works best with individual contained maps. Not to mention that a single map would have to be unrealistically large to believably contain all the biomes they want without them shifting abruptly, and that would take an insane amount of development time to accomplish, plus it could harm the pacing of the gameplay by a lot. However, sticking to individual maps like they always have but also making them huge lets them have their cake and eat it too.

On the subject of baby monsters, what if there was a Shadow of Mordor-esque system where you poach a wyvern egg, let it hatch, and raise the baby monster, so when it grows up, it leaves and would occasionally invade hunts to assist you or something. That would be awesome.

The only problem with that is, in the lore, the guild is distinctly anti poaching. I doubt they'd go in a direction that disregards the lore, so what's more likely is you could probably defend monster nests from egg raiding monsters, and in turn the monsters you save have like a turf war with the monster your hunting without targeting you.

All this is just amazing, the colors, the variety of the monsters, the environmental interactions... its a dream come true, therefore i took the decision of Not watching the next trailers to To find out everything during the gameplay, it will be a self-control exercise that will allow me to enjoy the experience to the fullest.

One small detail I see most people missing is that during the sequence where the greatsword just starts sprinting towards the Doshaguma, you can actually see that he shoots his hook slinger at it and seems to use it to propel his sprint forward. I don't know if that was a automatic follow up from the uppercut move he did, or if you can super quickly use multiple moves back to back, but it's pretty neat regardless. The focus mode is looking like it could be hella fun.

Honestly so exicited for pack tactics from monsters. Blangonga and blangos could totally get huge boost from this. Also i dont think a seasonal thing will ever return. However I could see a revolving weather system. Like i know they dont have modern but with scout balloons i could see them tracking weather like old weather balloons did.

There's an interview with the devs, and they say they'll show more on june 8th and talked about a brand new monster (flagship maybe?). Also, at 18:27 theres small glimpses of another (small?) monster clinving onto the Dog-lion, and they being thrown behind the hunter. Looks to be what caused the sand pit that caught the other monsters.

the maps each having 3 dynamically changing states is something i predicted. it goes from grassy savanna, to storm, to covered in sand without the storm, then storm again, finally move through the cycle back to grass, but they say it's only 2 states per locale. "per locale" so that confirms multiple maps not an open world. it also means that an ice map will have a blizzards, a volcano will have eruptions, and so on. the text here is weird, it shows 3 states but says there are 2. garangolm lizard/am,amphibian with a deviljho chin that uses his tongue to fight you. i love his sound design so much. yep, with how huge the maps will be, there is no reason why we can't have gammoth this time. give her and duramboros justice. only fated 4 not in 5th gen and only base brute wyvern not in 5th gen. it was criminal. YES!!! make the pack monster more unique! jagras and wolgs will pile on downed monster but these guys are attacking when it's not downed yet. more ballsy small monsters, please. yeah some weapons are comparable like you can easily use the same set for like gs and ls or gl and cb. but, if skills can't swap or be multi purpose that's very limiting. also do hh songs stay active for their duration if you swap? not like self improvement, for free mind's eye only on the hh user. like if you buff your team with attack up, they're not going to lose the buff when you swap right? it's going to be there for like 2 or 3 minutes, whether you swap or not, right? nah, lance has the charge too. this sort of worries me because if gs can run like that, it invalidates it's purpose of being slow and heavy hitting where other weapons are more mobile. weapons have to have pros and cons, that's why gs was shit in Rise because all of its weaknesses were gone. it had no personality left because they tried to make every weapon a ls clone. god i hope we get snakes. i've been saying it for months now, the best thing to do here is a snake wyvern flagship to say that skeleton is fixed so nothing is off the table. they have to have fixed the lagiacrus/snake wyvern issues by now, it's been like 6 years since that demo footage of lagi and they have a better engine now.

I don't think its likely that we will get a new weapon because it would take resources away from Focus mode being made both usable and balanced for all weapons, unlike what happened with the hunting styles in generations making some weapons feel useless or unwieldy when used together (ex: aerial taking away most control from the bug for insect glave)

Is that at the end of the trailer when the doshaguma smacks the floor where the Hunter is the sand actually gets scuffed up into the air and the floor beneath the player gets lower. about the whole build thing in 27:00 i think what they could do to now make the weapon you swap to have bad skills is the same thing they did with razor sharp/spare shot where 2 skill for different classes get packed into one so you can have things like blademaster mode or gunner mode

Trailer does show same location at different stage's. Lush area monsters are calm due to more responses. Barren area everything fighting and hunting everything. So barren area will spawn more dangerous areas. As for the logo. The wilds words in logo is orange and the logo is more chaotic. Monster hunter word is green and matches upper logo being calm. So wilds mean it's going to be dangerous when in environment turns wild.

multiple weapons makes skills like guard and artillery - that affect different weapons, but not all of them - so much more interesting in a buildcraft space. My minor wishlist is kinda weird for this game honestly: Keep doing more interesting skills like Sunbreak, not like Mail of Hellfire or such, but more like Foray and Charge Master Fix the tutorials, goddamn. We've all been playing for a hot minute but I really want new players to have a smoother experience, and not have information dumped on the by dialogue and text boxes all the time. It would also make returning players have a much faster early game. Speaking of, just the convenience features and proper menu?UI design of RiseBreak as a whole would great. I presume they'll probably go even harder on that. Also if they do make another weapon, it would make sense for it to be the Clutch Claw + stick to hit with. So not everyone has to suffer it, but plenty of people can enjoy it of they want.

One of my biggest complaints of the bowgun ranged weapons is that each one always seemed extremely focused into 1 type of ammo to the point that you'd max out that ammo and max out the ammo crafting materials and just spam it over and over. So hopefully they round it out a bit better this game so 3-4 different ammo types are viable on most BGs. But if they don't at least you'd be able to take 2 different bowguns and use their different ammo for them.

I feel like in my heart of hearts, I still prefer the classic style of hunting and the portable experiences when it comes to Monster Hunter. Not to say I am not hyped for Wilds, but it was a realization I came to awhile back. However I am more than interested in seeing where Wilds is heading, as well as looking like a continuation of the Caravan from Monster Hunter 4. We still know precious little, and gotta wait till June 7th for more, but so far, I’m loving everything I’ve seen and can’t wait to see more.

Considering the fact that graphical fidelity is reaching a point of diminishing returns, I think this regression is actually pretty smart. It's trimming the fat and shaving off what we don't need, focusing on what's truly important about the series. Also, I think Road Puncher is the game you're talking about.

Honestly the ideas I’m hearing in this video regarding using two weapons make me hate the feature. I don’t want to have to play multiple weapons in order to be optimal or have people kick me for refusing to use another weapon. Feel like ima be forced into using some kind of hunting horn combo where I buff up then go into my main. I like switch axe and all I want to play is switch axe. I don’t want my performance to suffer and for me to do worse than others because I don’t want to play a second weapon I hate.

What's also not lost on me is the complete lack of a rule that states because someone is joking around means they can't include something semi-serious, like the desire to support an indie game maker they like, or that human error means they might forget to say said name or that I might have just missed it. I'm the opposite of excited for Wilds. It was obviously going to be World 2, that much was no surprise, but that doesn't make it any less disappointing to see. With how despised Rise is by the community and its sales lacking compared to World, I have a hard time believing the Portable team will ever be given another project. The golden age of 3U-Rise sans World is over.

you have never engaged with Monster Hunter outside of youtube and twitter Rise wasn't "hated" by anyone other than a very loud 1% of players and was a massive commercial and critical success The portable team(S because there is in fact more than one) WILL get another game because Capcom don't care about some ps4 longsword losers whining on Twitter and why are you even saying you don't like this game after even admitting that you know it's being made by a completely different dev team?

@@kitchengun1175 All discussions on World and Rise are unanimously in favour of World and shit on Rise. This isn't a "just KZbin and Twitter" thing. Wilds is made by the World team, and I despise World in both gameplay and what it did to the community, so it's entirely reasonable for me to not have a high opinion of what Wilds has shown.

Bro even I prefer the Portable series but I don't think Capcom decides which team gets what game based on sales, because for the vast majority of the series before world, the Portable series was vastly outselling the numbered series, yet we still had the numbered series games.
