I love bows but I’m not a super duper bow guy in monster hunter. I feel like it should be more pinpoint snipery. High mobility is cool but with a slow fire rate with big damage per attack if you can get it off. Like dragon piercer type slow. Basically a ranged version of true charge slash. Have other attacks that do a little damage but are a bit faster. The true goal is do everything you can to get off the big shot. I’d be a bow main if that’s how it was designed. Even so it still it looks awesome in wilds

Most hyped for Hunting Horn, that will almost certainly be my main for this game. Surprised by how good Bow and Switch Axe look, I've never been interested before. I want to try them all! Thanks for all the videos, with Capcom firing these out daily, it can't have been easy to keep up, but you did a great job. My hype is reaching super high levels for the New Old Future Ancient Lands: Turbo Edition or whatever they call it.

A LOT of my hype lies with Hunting Horn for sure! While Gunlance looks sick and is absolutely deserving of S tier for hype, I'm all in on the three you mentioned first and foremost haha. That said, Long Sword and Charge Blade do look REALLY fun too, everything just looks SO great! Appreciate your kindness as always

Sad to see both of my mains in C tier...but i cant help but agree. GS is much more hype in full context of a fight, and im going to heavily miss the Shoryugeki from rise on SNS, the added mobility is great but the impact seems lacking. Perfect blocking + Round slash looks like it can be fun though so im optimistic.

@@LightItUpDan it’s not a fair argument from my end, but my instinct is to go back to the “why isn’t it slow and clunky!” Meme. I know it’s unfair to say that but it’s just how I feel. The state of wilds is clearly extremely high mobility based on trailers and gameplay from peeps like areks with most weapons moving like crazy during attacks. This I think just lets the great sword exist. But idk, that’s me.

I've been watching in depth dives on the footage from gamescom and I'm somehow now MORE excited for the hunting horn in Wilds than I already was. The little echo bubble dance and the earth shaker guitar strum moves are not only cool but they also works as pseudo quick time events that allow you to store up 3 and 5 notes respectively. That's HUGE.

im lance and hammer main since MH1, and i like those weapons in wilds, but hammer lack a little bit of BONK, i cant feel the BONK.. i will still play it, but weapon with most hype for me is HH, ive played HH in other games, but it was not my favourite weapon, after those trailers HH is number one for me for now. nonetheless i will play with all weapons :D cant wait!

I haven't been so excited for a game for such a long time, I am a verry stubborn long sword user as no other weapon seemed to have its ability to control monsters, now seeing other weapons that have counter moves, makes me more interested to use other weapons and not stun my friends all the time.

Ok I didn't notice that it shows the extract you get from the specific body part. That small detail is gonna be one of the biggest game changers for me personally. I always end up having to guess which parts give white and orange extract and it sucks sometimes. At least red extract is consistent and easy to find

As a sword and shield main, i miss the speed that came with the weapon in the older games. World kept some of that attack speed but it looks like its been getting slower since rise. Lets hope wilds sns has more to deliver

@LightItUpDan another thing. I find the utility of SnS becoming more redundant as more quality of life changes get introduced. Sns quick sheathe time isn't as useful anymore because all weapons have relatively quick sheaths now. Sever and bludgeon damage types in one weapon aren't as useful due to weapon swapping and 2 weapons on the field. I feel like SnS needs to carve out its own niche soon otherwise it will become a watered down version of other existing weapons. Even though it is a beginner weapon, I don't think it should be overshadowed by others this badly 😔

I choose hammer and sword and shield because I use hammer in world and wilds and did a sword and shield playthrough cuz I think it looks nice (I used many different weapons before (insect glave and dual blades I luv u but hammer is my true love) hammer but I realized "wait hammers really good" one day and now you know)

Started MHW again earlier this year after my initial first try back when it first released. Back then it was kinda like sensory overload and drove me away but this time around I dedicated some time to understanding the game and I love. Haven’t used the Lance yet, but Seeing the Lance trailer is making me go back and try out the Lance in MHW lol

Greatsword would definitely be way higher on my list due to being able to realign your charged slashes alone with focus mode, WHEW No more hard whiffing attacks with the whiff sword. It’ll need a new name though now

Aerial Insect glaive is dead. We can no longer vault/bounce off of monsters, this has been confirmed. So after making so much progress in World and Rise, they basically devolved the weapon back to MH4. I guess it's good I switched my main from glaive to Gunlance in Rise.

Different monsters are weak to different weapons, that's why i use everything. I also edited my save file to get the fatalis GS for when i'm grinding the same monster again and again.

Im not sure why people are doing weapon list when the game is not even out. Clearly all of these weapon clips arent showing their full kit. So we cant even know where everything should be in the first place. My proof of this point in making comes from monster hunter world showcase, in it they dont even show everything we could do and the same applies to monster hunter wilds
