Turf wars aren't the end all be all for lore, azure rathalos ties with glavenous just like normal rathalos, legiana ties with ebony odo just it does normal odo. Furious rajang will tie with savage deviljho too.

TBF Iceborne's Rajang is AFAIK the smallest depiction of the monster (most monster were upsized in Worldborne), Rajang in Rise is closer to what the og relative sizes were.

Dual blades are to much underrated. I always see people going against Rajang with hammers and slow weapons like that. With dual blades you can deal damage as you evade, I used them and he only got me once.

Tips and tricks for those who are fighting rajang Keep an eye at it, you need to learn every attack, because all of them have a 'tell' specific to said attack (no fake exept when stunned) Ice weapons or blast weapons (his weaknesses)(different weapons will have different elemental power, for example, dual blades are excellent elemental weapons, but greatsword isn't) Use all of the I-frames you can get, for example, if you get knocked down, don't stand up right away, but look at rajang next move and from that you can value if its safe or not to stand up His most lethal attack is heavely telegraphated, he will roar while rising his arms (For about 2-3 seconds when his arms are reinforced), from this you have 2 choises to dodge the attack (it will always reach you) : 1 - Dive (sheath your weapons and long press space towards the screen) 2 - timed dodge (you can perfectly dodge his attack by timing your i-frames, aka, dodge in the right before he slams the ground)(note, every weapon have different dodge rolls, possibly even different dodge i-frames)(note 2, dodge on the opposite direction of rajang, the jump slam actually has 2 damage ticks, 1 is AOE and the other is from rajang itself, 25:00)

So basically, savage deviljho and regular rajang only tie because regular jho isn't in master rank and furious rajang isn't in the game entirely... as we know of now at least.

Guard up 5 might be what you’ll need for this monster cause a lot of his attacks will hit you hard enough push you away, even his roar when he reddens his fists have a lot of force in it, so be mindful of that, and have guard up and mindseye too

lold wtf that’s what I thought too, but when I guard pointed his attacks with guard 2, he would always knock me heavily. I think guard 3 would do a little better for some of his attacks but the beam, the sweeping punches, and his new aerial fist dive bomb hits all have heavy knock back force and he’s almost always on the offensive until he gets hungry/tired
