Monster in Lough Foyle!

Was shooting in Lough Foyle when this thing went past us. It was massive. Really don't know what it was. There have been whales in the Lough before so maybe that's what it was but Matthew was closer than we were and says it was no whale. Looks like we have our own Loch Ness Monster?! Any experts out there ?
We're still filming so if it shows up again we'll do our best to get a better shot of it.
Our film's called 'Fishing with David Lynch', which was why I was wearing the suit (a David Lynch costume.)

This may seem funny but this is exactly the same thing that I saw back in 2004 at Phelan Lake, MN and nobody believes me. It left a trail of water just like that too!

This is a sign of a new era - in the old times those kind of movies needed to be made with a really really bad quality camera, now we need to have full HD but still it must be not visible. This is harder to make, but well done.

I've studied marine science and I can safely say that is NOT a whale. It appears to be something with ridged back like an eel that moves through the water by arching it's body in a snake-like motion. It also has a very long wake which extends in a thin line on the surface of the water, indicating that the main points of water disturbance are all along the creature's back. With a whale, there are three converging lines; one for each flipper and one for the main body. You have a lough serpent.

Leatherback Turtles are huge and massive ones have been found on beaches in Wales.

No that's Lapras, gotta catch em all. Fun aside if you are familiar with cryptozoology and the study of unknown animals, there are reports of a giant turtle roaming the North Atlantic. It's name is father-of-all-the-turtles and it might have well made it to the Lough since this latter is freely connected to the sea.

The guy was filming a documentary called "Fishing with David Lynch" if you know who David Lynch is he always wears his signature suit with white shirt. Thats the reason for the guy wearing the suit. Do a little research before making a judgement.

It's really difficult to determine what species of creature it was. I really don't think this can be a whale. I've seen whales, but I've never seen one swim like this before. Also, the pattern on it doesn't really look like its a whale. I couldn't tell you how long it was, but by the actual effect it was having on the water I'd say its pretty big, there was definitely more to see below the surface anyway.

Yes, hoax, but as I commented above, the movement of this thing closely follows the movement of a large crocodile or alligator, which can definitely descend in a very slow, steady angle (although it's not like they do it that often) and they can swim with only the head exposed, showing nearly no wobble or bobbing... just straight forward motion (under the surface, they swim in a serpentine manner). I still agree this is a hoax but for different reasons.

why do people find it so hard to believe that there are things on this planet we haven't seen before?.... the beginning of the video, when it's most exposed, that looks cranial to me... i was studying to be a marine biologist at one point, and that is a) no whale, not even a non-fluker, and b) massive... and it looks reptilian, or hard, like a turtle or something..... Plesiosaur anyone?.... :)

It's Maggie Thatcher's relative come to take her home to the land of giant snakes where she belongs. ;-) It isn't anything being towed because 1.) There is no wake from a boat in front of it and also towards the end of the video they pan out and you can see quite a long way in front of it and there is no boat. I think it's real.. whatever it is.

The deep sea is a complete abyss for us human beings and needs to be further researched, so why so many dislikes? That could be a creature from the dinosaur times, which would be logical because if Crocodiles can survive for this long, then why not some of the deep sea creatures? Pretty cool man, nice footage of...whatever that is. Definitely doesn't look like a whale, if that was a whale head the whale would have to be at a very odd angle under the water while still moving perfectly straight and pretty fast. Seems unlikely. I am thinking it is some kind of submersible. Just before it begins to submerge it looks like air is being released and it happens again just after it is completely submerged. This would be consistent with a submersible pumping air out of the tanks (water into them).

you should study film and editing software . then you'll know this is not fake if it was fake there would be some discolor functions its well known it wont matter if its years of work on a vid it will still happen without a green screen . so this thing is real and i suggest the lads who filmed it go to a specialist about this subjects .

As always when it comes to "monsters" you don't see a thing!!! People on the boats are very calm. I think that if They would see a real monster they would be in panic or yelling and cheering. Another thing is that They didn't move their boat closer to take a better look. I don't think it was any sort of a monster.

It's moving to fast to be a leatherback turtle, and it's moving at such a steady speed that it appears to be something that is being towed by something from the shore(maybe a pulley system), or a boat off cam. Whatever it is, it's not natural, or a living organism. Also, the KZbin owner's name might suggest this is a prank.

Notice how the cameraman is happy to shoot the shot to the left, where the lump starts moving into the frame, but notice he stops turning the camera to follow the lump once he reaches the main in the suit. Why doesn't the cameraman turn his camera far to the right to continue looking for the moving lump? Because the lump is being towed by a boat that is to the right of the man in the suit. If the camera panned to the right, the hoax would be revealed.

Looking at it frame by frame... the first most remarkable thing is the guy fishing in a suit jacket... second that the camera goes completely out of focus every time it zooms in. Third is the moving object. By shape and lack of side-to-side or bobbing motion, appears to be the head of a large, long-neck reptile. Not a whale, not a dolphin, not a fish, not a turtle, not an alligator. The fact that it submerges makes a hoax unlikely, unless they rented a submarine to mount a model on.

it doesn't change shape at all for the first few seconds, it certainly appears to be dragged thru the water, or propelled. Doesn't look like an animal to me. The film Incident at Loch Ness (comedy with Werner Herzog) had a much more realistic staged event. If this was an animal, it was doing it's best "I'm going to move through the water so unrealistically as to guarantee a hoax classification".
