I find it interesting that Nintendo prioritized censoring the original Japanese prototype's movie references instead of scrapping the overtly violent scenes that obviously went against Nintendo of America's strict guidelines.

My guess is they didn't want to get into another lawsuit involving a movie studio after Universal sued them on the claim that the Donkey Kong arcade game ripped off King Kong. Plus, the game did use actual movie monsters, and Bandai may have decided it was not worth the time and money to go to each movie studio to ask for their okay. Also, NOA has been known for missing some scenes that violate their guidelines (like Bionic Commando's exploding Hitler head, for example).

I loved this game as a kid. i'm not one for horror flicks so I strangely like the edits. I just wish they had put in the amp so I would have know I could stand there

Name Dropper The Grim Reaper is seen as public domain, as games has used the creature (one of the more known games being the Castlevania franchise, where he is called Death and serves as Dracula's minion).

MogAnarchy Thanks very much. It's already on the to-do list. It's really disgusting that publishers felt required to remove gay/trans references - still goes on today in fact. Unfortunately the only really requirement that we ask for with narrating is that the person is an active KZbinr but really grateful for the interest.

Censored Gaming There's probably a ton of examples of LGBT characters who get censored - the Tomodachi Life controversy springs to mind for one. And Nintendo removing gay Sims in the DS Sims games. Ah, OK, I guess I only really use my KZbin for videos I embed into my blog. :)

With your videos, I think you should actually end the video saying something like "thanks for watching" and "subscribe." They just trail off, and I always feel like there should be more.

Quicksilver1111 2nd comment in a few days saying this. I try to make it clear by saying stuff like "the last change" but I see it's still an issue. It's just trying to not make censorship into a spectacle or something - Censored Gaming is rooted in anti-censorship instead of simply trivia. It's clearly a problem though, alright - thank you.

I see where you're coming from in regards to the channel being about censorship not just trivia, but It's not about being a spectacle, just engaging with the audience is all. I think it's awesome you put up the fight against censorship, and It's unfortunate you don't have nearly as many views as you should have.
