Just cut a few strips in the skin on each side and rub sea salt in them, then pull out the guts and stuff it with actual lemon grass, garlic, onion, and peppers if you like. Grill until the skin is crispy and a little burned and the eyes are popping out. And boom simple gourmet meal 👍👍👍👍

Hey Robert, nice catch! If you come to California, look up this guy name Zack. He specializes in catching Sturgeon out here in the Delta and right now it is the season for it. The name of his company is Gatecrasher Fishing Adventures. He is a really cool guy and I would really like to see guys pair up and make an awesome sturgeon video!

“this is not hurting it”, let’s be honest does it really matter, it’s not like you were gonna kill it an eat it later anyways 🙄😒

Actually a lot die every year because of catch and release. They also reabsorb their eggs because of the stress of being caught. Wdfw did a study on the mortality impact on catch and release.

Even though it was both wise and necessary to release that large sturgeon, my brain was exploding at how much delicious fish was swimming away. The smaller ones taste better anyway but I don't think you can judge anything by that Florida fossil you cooked. You did very well with what you had but please, I think you need get a better fish to test. Thanks for the fun from here in Oregon.

Me and a buddy used to work the American & Sacramento rivers for the sturgeon for several years. I think it's why I've had so many back operations. But it was worth it.

Correct it doesn’t there was a old sturgeon the got hooked and died in Idaho falls and fish in game let us have it

He releases the sturgeon he caught in the video, and it is shown. Whether it looks like it or not, it is illegal to even take the fish out of the water for a picture in Idaho. He said he was going to order wild caught sturgeon off of the internet, so who knows where it really came from.

Congrats on a beautiful catch.. but I didn't like the captain,he was an asshole and acted like a fishing guru..he needs some lessons in tourism
@over14984 жыл бұрын
He kind of is a fishing guru. And he does tourism. So that makes sense... I'm sure most of the people he takes on tours are not experts at all, and appreciate his advice.

In Germany, you can get them from commercial fishing ponds. We got ourselves 4 and it took hours to prepare them. Inside the stomach, there is a weird membrane between the guts and the muscles. I had to get it gone with a toothbrush and it took forever. Even several hours after the kill, the stomach muscles still kept moving. But it was all worth it, we smoked 2 of them and the other 2 became filetted and frozen. The meat is delicious, it's really like steak and not fishy at all. So a meaty fish. I guess the white sturgeons in America are protected just like the European ones, because they take ages to reproduce and easily can reach a hundred years and more. Very fascinating fish worth protecting, and ancient.

If you never ate Sturgeon you have to! I live by the Chehalis river in WA state! We USED to be able to keep them, but now it catch and release.We would get a big fire going, and fish at night. Drink a few beers, and just wait for hours just to catch one. I hope they open it up again before I die!
