I wish toothpaste companies would have abrasive ratings on them like they do in other countries. This is called RDA in case anyone is interested in looking it up and see how their toothpaste rates.

i know i have atleast some of that. because my gums are higher up on one side than the other. i also have some transparency. which is probably because one of the dentists assistants told me to brush three times a day immediatley after meals. I now understand how wrong that is... so now i only brush and floss twice a day and use the waterpik after meals

i read somewhere that toothpaste is pretty abrasive, baking soda is a lot less abrasive and works better. is that true?

+Dwij Patel no it's more abrasive

+Joe Sheridan I concur thats why baking soda is used in the whitening toothpastes because it is more abrasive.

+wigglietail2008 Same here. I always watch his videos making sure my dentist did what he was supposed to do. Mine seems a little incompetent compared to this doc.

What was he using, a wire brush?

Nylon brushes can cause abrasion like this, if paired with an abrasive toothpaste.

Would this also be considered abfraction? Just wondering, since there's a V-shape. Thanks for the video! :D

No she probably uses a toothbrush that's too hard. All my toothbrushes are all extra soft. The toothpaste size dosent really matter but people still shouldn't use alot. But the type of toothpaste matters. I use sensitive toothpaste that isnt that abrasive and my teeth are getting whiter.

This patient needs a better diet and better brushing techniques.
