I really enjoy the content and the vintage material y'all talk about. Some I remember, some I've never heard of, and some I use to have back in the day. Brings back good memories and appreciation for the early additions. For me, It was B/X and AD&D 1e.

Drunk blogging again. What an opening. Awesome. Thought I was watching a ShamWow commercial. Alex has a future hawking Ginsu blades on late night infomercials. It dices, it slices, and never loses its edge. Love the expression on Jim's face. LOL Wow, deep dive into D&D history. I remember those. Hide the best treasure in piles of dung. Who'd have thunk it. Jim nails it. Dungeon ecology. Random junk and monsters. Takes an amazing DM to warp that all into a coherent campaign. Though it definitely was fun back in the day. like the prize in a Cracker Jack box.

Next year's Atlanta ComiCon in July, I am going to buy Alex a few t-shirts. Looks kind of skinny, so maybe large instead of xtra large. LOL

Jim has his best Oscar the Grouch face going during Alex's intro. Hilarious. And the old saying was that being on camera added 10 pounds to you. Must be all that time in the gym (and his rendition to a Motel 6 black site), because I am not seeing it Alex. And you can find some great clothing at vintage stores and Goodwill. Saves you money to spend on your D&D fix. Just make sure you wash it in hot water and lot's of soap.

Another informative vid from the Old Warlock. I've used your tagline as inspiration for my own channel, I like to say Keep your Shield Arm Strong 💪

Never came across those. But I have used the DMG to make up some very random stuff.

These kind of tables are really great for jogging the imagination. Always nice to spend time with you both.

I had these back in the day, but never used them (like the geomorphs). When I first started drawing dungeons, it was always more fun to draw and then fill in by flipping through the monster section of Holmes. Wish I still had my copies just for "collection" purposes...

300 monsters 300 treasures 55 burgers 55 fries…..

I have these, but I admit it's mainly for the great art. I can see how it would be a valuable time saver for making large dungeons before home computers became commonplace, though.

The art was definitely a high point!

I always realised that Jim wears a cap in each episode, but I only just realized....it's the SAME cap every time! Jim - what is the mystical rune emblazoned on your Helm of Eye-Shading please? I love these videos on the old accessories from the old days. Nice shirt Alex. (Rolling sleeves up covers a multitude of sins, eh!)

Appendix C: Random Monsters in the AD&D Dungeon Master's Guide. This should have been included in the Monster Manuel. Now, it makes sense as to why it was sold as overpriced booklets. This is because the DMG wasn't released until 1979.
