Monster Trout In Hopedale This Early? Catch & Cook (not the big trout)

It was a hard thing for me to go anywhere but where I've been catching the fire out of the Speckled Trout lately, but I had a chance to bring my best fishing buddy and we decided to play it safe and hang close to the marina in Hopedale. My expectations were just to have fun hanging with Destin the Destroyer and maybe catch a few fish, but we had a some unexpected bites that made the trip before the storms ran us off. I don't normally catch trout this big in this area this time of year.

I fish artificial lures and mostly in the marshes and lakes on the east side of the Mississippi River in South Louisiana for Speckled Trout, Redfish, and Largemouth Bass. These videos are rough edited so I can show them within a few days of the trip and because I don't know how to edit videos. @@Jar_Fishing I came up fishing with my father and little brother. We fished Empire, Buras, and Pointe a la Hache back in 1971 and later. There isn’t a morning that comes when I am running to my first spot with the sun rising that I always think of my father. It was definitely a special time in my life. I was lucky to have such a great father.

I literally took my son almost everyday fishing. Fresh water as a child. As he got older we would go to Louisiana often. The memories and video and pictures I have are a blessing as he’s not with us anymore. He had such a passion for fishing and that came from me taking him so much. Good time. Watching you with a child sure brought back some memories. Good for you spending that time together. Great video. Always enjoy your videos. I fish Shell beach and Hopedale area often. Awesome video. Dad starting taking us young too. First with zebco spin cast but had us on the old red Ambassaduer 5000 by about 10 years old. Early years he would outfish my brother and I combined by at least 5 to 1. We caught him by our early teens and he couldn't have been any prouder.
