Lover your channel. I've been watching your videos for a few months now and learned a lot. I also started fly fishing at Bennet springs when I was a child. My family vacationed there from when I was 8 till about 15 ( had an eagle claw rod also). Unfortunately life and work took me in a different direction. I'm now 64 and after watching fly fishing videos on YT and nearing retirement I decided to give trout fishing another shot. Bought all the equipment and made a trip last month from Florida to Bennet Springs. Fished for 6 days. Love it. Going back next month and in the fall. Thank you for your videos, very helpful.

That’s pretty cool you used your dad’s fly rod to catch big browns! This past summer my dad and some extended family took the trip of a lifetime to Yellowstone going after cutthroat and we fished a small brookie stream in Montana just outside the park. My older cousin brought this old fenwick fly rod that three generations of my family learned/caught trout on and I was fortunate enough to catch a trout on it becoming the fourth generation of Kyle’s to catch a fish on it. It’s truly magical to have something like that to bring four generations together like that
