At the time of this episode's release, monster trucks had only been around for less than a decade and had become a smashing hit in the 80s. The blue paint job and lightbars on these trucks are features they've taken from their predecessor, Bigfoot.

Watching this episode I always wondered what 80s teens have never heard of or seen a Monster Truck before. Because their reactions always threw me off

Just by looking at this truck, I wouldn't be surprised if they used the original Bigfoot to film (very similar blue paint, roll bar, and white wheels. Also, you can see where they blocked the "Bigfoot"name on the door)

@@cutlass8783This was the “Bearfoot” truck, and “Lil Bearfoot” (an S-10) they were Chevy’s not a Ford like Bigfoot. They were popular early monster trucks too along with several others like King Kong, USA-1 and others.

OMG This was soo campy - right down to the fake "tough" 80's 'gang' to the truck driver just giving up and shielding their face in bad acting, the trucks blowing up just because they hit each other. Nothing like gold old 80's camp. And when KITT wen on his side wheels, it was vulnerable to the truck turning and tipping it over. ROFL!
