@@leafydiva Same here! I'm a massive Lechuza fan. Only issue I have for it is the roots dipping into the reservoir, so this fixes that completely :) Thank you for the awesome idea ❤

but dont use fabric where the roots can grow through. this happend to me, i repotted my pothos and i could not remove the fabric anymore. its amazing how „smart the plants are to make room for their roots

You can also use paper towel. Thats what i use to line the bottoms of pots so they dont grow into the reservoir

TOTALLY AGREE!! 1. Huge design flaw on the lechuza pots liners (I own 8 of them) & plant repot is unbelievable 2. Wish Lechuza would consider a transparent liner option. Not only would it be a anxicilarry + but they would join the 'clear pot' bandwagon. 3. Please share details on the fabric liner... is it tulle?

Yes to everything you wrote!!! I have such a love hate relationship with Lechuza. They make good planters, but they had to have known for years about this issue. Instead of offering a liner (as u suggested) or only carrying the LS models that have a detachable inner liner they just pretend the problem doesn’t exist!

I still live the fabric idea! I hope you'll update on how it's working out! I've always just stuck a piece of paper towel at the bottom of my pots to help block the hole, but obviously over time the plant breaks through. A single pallet towel doesn't seem to hold enough water to have caused any root issues for me though. It's something my grandma always did to keep the soil in the pot when you repot. I still use soil so it makes sense for my brain! It would probably be as horrible idea for people who over water though or who forget to dump out the excess water!

I've been lining my pot with landscape fabric forever now... life saver!! I leave a tiny corner exposed so I can pull on it and easily lift the plant out of its pot

They grow up trees in the rainforest. As they climb higher and higher, reaching towards the sun their leaves get bigger. We replicate that by allowing them to climb up a plant stake/moss pole. The further away the leaves move from your light source (which usually happens when they’re hanging) the smaller they’ll be. 😊

No, you don't need a fabric screen. The roots in the water is a good thing. Now they'll grow thru the screen and that is 'not' a good thing.

Can you make a longer video about this plant? I just got two different ones and I'm interested in when it starts vining and different ways to display it. I want to set it up early so it will grow as big as possible. Also I have trouble differentiating pests and what spots/sun damage is normal

This is why I’m lazy and make mine grow like bushes, instead of straight up. You can trick them into growing huge leaves that way too. Lol. It looks so pretty when it’s tall like that, though. I’m just not as brave.

You just put water in the water reservoir and there should be some type of rope that's in the bottom of the plant that hangs down into the water reservoir. The absorbent rope allows the plant to get water as it needs it. I have one that my Alocasia Polly is in that I purchased from Lowe's almost 1 yr ago and it's doing awesome!!!!! The one I have has a small clear indicator on the bottom so that you can see where the water level is at, so you'll know when the reservoir is empty.
