Unfortunately, I had to reupload the video with my music as background!
I hope everyone who was there in the concert, comment again!
I would appreciate it guys thanks!
For many metal fans, Monsters of Rock 1984 was the best !
Not only for the live line up, but also for the best releases of these bands!
All photo footage is by me, except for some pics I borrowed from Google to complete some gaps in the video!
Music: Toxic Rain, by me

Monsters Of Rock UNVERGESSEN !

I was 19 at the time. I had a real nice camera up near front of right stage for most of the acts. Someone took my rolls of film and I only had what was in camera. This concert is one of my memorable times in the Army in Germany. .

Myself and my Wife were there and had a damned awesome time. I was stationed in Germany at the time getting close to PCSing back to the states. Me, my wife and about 20 other soldiers from my unit attended the concert at he Socker stadium. But the only bad part was when David Lee Roth screwed it up for Van Halen. Eddie was pissed god rest his soul.

So glad I found this! I was there too...very close to you in fact, just to your left and was taking photos. The crowd surge when Motely Crue came out was sooooo intense. Lost my shoes in the wave after wave of people...forward, back, then side to side and all over again. Just tried to keep my camera in my hands. Didn't have enough money to buy new shoes so whole weekend plus train ride back barefoot LOL! Still have my ticket! Best lineup ever. Had killer photos too, but lost the in the shipment back to US along with much of my stereo...typical. Based at Münchweiler at the time...great memories now brought back to life...do you have others? Any way you could share files? Thanks for posting!!!!

Wow! Those 4x15 Marshall bass cabs are a rare sight! Not only were they underpowered and brittle sounding, they were heavy! Back then, Marshall had a hold on the rock amp market like no other company in history. It’s still lingering today.

Marshalls its my favourite equipment for many reasons..that tower it can be used as as a monitor for the whole band..Vivian was playing with 2 amps one for clean sound and the other for distortion..thanks for the comment..

I was there. I'm convince that I see the back of my head in this picture. LOL. I don't know if it's me or not but I tell myself 'Yeah, that's me". I just remember two things. 1. It was hot as fuck that day and 2) Accept was fucking LOUD! When they played "Balls the Wall" the bass guitar was sooooo fucking loud that it made the whole place vibrate. See those stairs in the back? It looks like Nurnberg which is where I attended this concert. It's also where Hitler had his bullshit rallies during World War 2. It's where we played our high school football games. It's open to the public and it was right down the street from where lived.

This was the summer hell concert. It was so frigging hot people were dropping like flies! I was one of them. I remember Nugent came on and next thing I know I'm waking up in a Dallas, Texas hospital. Never another daytime concert in Texas! I learned my lesson!

@@kevinknight8889 monsters festival was held in cites all over the world. Probably the most famous was Donington Castle. But all ya gotta do is Google it. I won't forget it because it was my only chance to see Rush. I didn't like day concerts at the cotton bowl as a rule because of no airflow on the field. It wasn't as bad in 85 because they had firehoses to spray the crowds and first aid tents setup. Now I don't know if the festival actually went to Germany but I will admit that I didn't know it was a world wide concert series. Thought it was just stateside. But unless you just want to show your lack of knowledge by keeping up a argument which is all I figure you want anyway! As a general rule I don't call someone a liar unless I'm sure there's a lie being told. But you might wanna do a lil fact checking before you decide to attack anyone's character. Normally I just ignore the lil people on here but I think you just needed some educating along with your friends which may have went to the same festival in a different country. And you decided I had to be lying! Next time you have a bad day at work and come home to screaming kids and a fat ugly wife telling you what a bum you are ,have a couple beers and chill out before you go online and show the world she's probably right! Toodles Einstein!
