So many ways to corpse. I used to paint it on tissue paper and drape it when I wanted something thin and translucent like those wings. Lots of ways to to get there.

I bend my skeleton bones by placing a hot soldering iron on the joint and then bending it into shape. Lovely tutorials and I have learned a bunch about corpsing and making it even more realistic with the dried out looking skin.

Last Halloween I tried making a diseased zombie-like bat using this same skeletal bat model. Except I used your toilet paper mache technique from your shrunken head tutorial which also inspired me. Keep up the amazing work, I love it!

you might consider using the superglue baking powder method on your joints to make them more structurally sound. the super glue your are using currently gets brittle with age.

Hanging the bat and spinning it got me xD im dying of laughter. Its such a cool prop. The only thing i qould have added was a touch of corpsing to the top of the head and ears from the back of the neck. you shoulc have corpsed the head as well! you can get a really cool look of decayed skin around the mouth, and even get cool shrivled eyelids if you cut the plastic over the sockets then heat it

I plan on making two of these and putting them in some led lanterns.i also plan on getting one of those big ones from spirit and doing this to that so I can have a big detailed one. Maybe some lights in the eyes. I'll let you know how they turn out!

I picked up that same little bat skeleton from Dollar Tree last year and have had it hanging in one of the windows from the blinds ever since. Those stupid ears have been bothering me all this time. Tempted to try Dremeling and sanding the 'bones' out from inside of them. I just don't want to screw it up. It was a nice little prop for a buck. =)

Use hot glue to reglue the joint, hardly any wait time. And you can use the heat gun then form it around a stainless steel bowl to shape it

I got my heat gun/ embossing heater at Michaels. They cost about $20-30 and they often offer 40%-50% off coupons that would make it really affordable. It’s been a very useful tool to have for craft projects.

if you sprinkle the superglue with baking soda and it cures instantly, no need for rubber bands or waiting!
