Morning CW! I love rave time with CW. I always learn something. Thanks for coming along while I cooked breakfast this morning. That is a nice hunting rig! Beautiful stock. I'm really digging that scope as well. 2-10x is so handy. I also happen to be a fan of your reticle choice. It's not often I hear is 358 anymore.

Watching this from work 😮 on lunch slow here today. The good old 358win . Good old thick cover rifle for stuff with sharp claws and teeth or big deer. Do see many 358win anymore every one wants speed in magnum. With all the new 35cal like 360buckhammer out hopefully brings around people on .35 cal . Great looking optic cw nice in clean 👌.

That is one sweet looking rifle.👍 I've got some Monstrum Prism sights with a very similar reticle, works great for rapid target acquisition.

As I have said before, I love 35 cal. cartridges. I currently only have one rifle in 358 winchester. It's a Browning BLR. I bought a Remington 700 in 243 on close out at Walmart with the intent of having it rebored to 358. There are too many projects and the money always needs to go someplace else! Rat

Is the reticle daylight bright? If the scope holds up on a light - mid weight 358 then you know it's a good scope for most any deer rifle. The 358 Winchester is a fantastic cartridge! I've never been able to understand why the 358 Win isn't more popular. Tests have been performed showing that it produces more energy per grain of powder than any other big game cartridge. Recently Remington intriduced the 360 and Winchester has the 350 Legend so maybe people will come back to the 358 Winchester. I've got a 350 Remington Mag and a 358 Norma Mag so I don't really need a 358 Winchester BUT that doesnt mean I don't want one.
@cw2a3 ай бұрын
Keep preachin' my brother!!! (If ya like 358 NM stay tuned!!) This was a pretty stought load its TAC powder and 225 Sierras and 748 & 220 Speers both about 2400 & 2380 fps. Both loads print same point of aim. The 358 is special to me as it was the very first deer rifle I bought myself.
@frankbrowning3283 ай бұрын
@@cw2a looking forward to it. Big 35 cal fan Yeah, the 1st ones are always special.
@StevenMMan3 ай бұрын
As we discussed before. 358 win is a cartridge I've always wanted , but never acquired. Though on the very different platform. Do you know the rate of twist on your barrel? When it comes to scope sight in I'm still a firm believer in point blank ranging, however that is a decent way to have a second point of impact for light cast loads. Even with my Wyoming roots I prefer point blank over any other method. It is hard for me to give a good explanation in type as to the why factor. Mountain man
@cw2a3 ай бұрын
Good morning mountain man! Thanks for watching and commenting. I did check the twist on this and I can't remember for certain but I know it was not 1:16. But that doesn't really matter because one and 16 stabilizes past 250 without any problem at all. But I remember being happy that it was the faster twist.
@tacticalrabbit3083 ай бұрын
You can always glass bed the stock.
@cw2a3 ай бұрын
The American's use a very different bedding system Robert. There are seperate lugs, fit in the stock that mechanically hold action. I have bedded these into the stock already.

@@tacticalrabbit308 That would take ALOT of work and I fear do little to none accuracy benefit. As has been said there are no "ugly" accurate rifles. 😜👍🏼
