Good for you. I climbed the same route with 2 of my mother's cousins from Val d`Isere in 1964. It was the 1st time I'd been that high. I was hooked, and retired from climbing in my late 50's (now 75). It led me to altitude on 4 continents, including Everest in `77, so I hope you will continue our traditions and culture as Alpinists. As we say, Je te passe le flambeau!

Well done. That one's on the list! I just did Mt. Whitney here in California (tallest mountain in the lower 48 states) at 14,505' to start my bucket list. I did it in one go. Looking forward to an extended experience like the one you had. Will do Mt. Blanc in '24 or '25.

Loved this. I climbed Mont Blanc 20 years ago and filmed it, had fantastic footage from the summit at dusk. Bizarrely the camera was stolen 2 days later from our quite remote gite and I lost all of the footage. So was great to see yours. How cool are the guides, "it ees better not to step in the hole" haha.
