FCS football has one of the rare cases where northern football has been dominate over the past decade in the Big Sky, CAA, and Missouri Valley where as in FBS its southern football that’s dominated over the past decade in the SEC. whether you wanna link it up and say it’s because they’ve been cheating for the past decade it’s still impressive on both sides
@deanfirnatine781411 ай бұрын
A lot of the top athletes in the North are ignored by FBS schools and end up at FCS schools or if they are recruited its only by a couple sub par schools or they want to change their position etc so again they end up at FCS schools. Back in the 90's the NW Pac-12/10 schools recruited the region a lot but now that those schools are very good they have turned to recruiting nationally and like others are ignoring the talent in that region.
@setalight729011 ай бұрын
Ahh yes because home grown talent in the south such as Florida, texas, georgia and the exception in California having the best players in the nation wanting to go to or say in southern states is cheating 🤦🏾♂️, im a ducks fan but even they recruit those areas far less talent on the west . Only thing you can complain is about nil being unfair because there's basically no cap and sec outpaid every conference, example oregon nil is fairly big at 10 million but , georgia is 15.5 , Alabama is 16.6 , texas if youd like to include them now is at 20
@waynetompkins300611 ай бұрын
The FCS is a more physical subdivision. There's less emphasis on speed because those fast guys all get snapped up by Power 5 schools. These Dakota dynasties remind me of Tom Osborne's Nebraska teams from back in the day.

First these are great programs. I have seen them both in person in past seasons as I was affiliated with JMU and both are class acts. Having said that they both are benefiting from other strong programs moving up and them staying put in FCS so I believe the competition is maybe not getting weaker but it isn't getting any tougher either. I mean I can pretty much predict for years to come who will be in the playoffs each season. Those few programs are far superior to most others with an outsider slipping in there once and awhile. Nothing against either as it appears they know their places in football and it is working for them but you wonder at some point if they will move up divisions or continue to be satisfied at FCS. I do not know their ambitions.

OMG...yes..different story..then the Griz lose 23 to 10 I could say that for several SDSU drives that came up empty. Handed the ball to Griz 2x in first half and they could not figure out the D. Honestly after watch SDSU all year..they did not play superb. Gronowski never throws easy int's like the first half one . Like all season and last, the number of superior athletes is too much for opponents to deal with by q4.

I agree, GRIZZ had a better first half. After Jacks first drive that was the worst half they played all year. GRIZZ Dropped passes never allowed them to string a drive together. I thought Jacks would win by 20+ so final score was what I expected but halftime score/Jacks performance had me nervous.

They lost by 20 when SDSU's avg margin of victory is 26.5. Also, kept it close til q3...so..they didn't play so bad..but SDSU has made almost everyone look bad.
