A bunch of fathers, there with their children, incensed that he was trying to disrupt the proceedings, decided they weren't going to put up with him and rather than wait for the police, to remove him themselves. A video showed up on the evening news with the guy (a pastor named Derek Reimer, apparently) being forcefully shoved out the door and literally falling on his ass. It was truly a delight to watch) :)

It's a tale as old as time in American politics. There's social unease about a new problem society has to collectively address, and a bunch of politicians get big ol' dollar signs in their eyes. They stoke the fires of a moral panic and get the general population disproportionately scared of that thing and seek to destroy it instead of figuring out how to integrate it into society in a healthy way. Why? Because scared people will readily fork over their money to the guy claiming to have the answers to the problem they made up. Jim crow, women's suffrage, prohibition, the red scare, the war on drugs, gay rights, it's the same shit over and over again. Trans people are just the latest unfortunate targets.

Pretty much anything British will have to to go in the porno section. Every show I watched as a kid had at least 1 drag scene. Blackadder, Red Dwarf, A Bit of Fry and Laurie.
