Great video! I really enjoy watching videos on these types of set ups. We own 22 acres in eastern Montana and as soon as my wife retires (5 more years) we will be adding a tiny home from RRC to that land.

Good morning. That sounds like a great plan. Hopefully they are still affordable in 5 years! The base price on our model, the Tumbleweed, has gone up $16,000 since we bought in 2021. Still a great value though. Thanks for watching!

We are so impressed with all the innovative floor plans and the quality of construction of the Platinum homes. And RRC was absolutely wonderful to work with. As crazy as it sounds, we ordered our home sight unseen. And other than the damage caused during transit, the home was almost flawless. We wish you the best of luck on your future dreams!!

Pete - Can you discuss how you registered the Park Model RV with Montana DMV. My wife and I recently purchased a Park Model RV like yours and placed it at a campground in Montana, but the County DMV is telling us that "Since 2022, they don't register/title Park Model RVs". "We received a Certificate of Origination" from the manufacturer, which we presented to the DMV. However, they would not register it for us. Our model is 399 square feet (12 x 43'). Manufactured by Lancaster Log Cabins in PA. Thanks for any information you can provide. - Darby.

Haha. Yes, we are not full timers, yet! This is are 3 season vacation home. Not sure we will do a Montana winter there! They just had their first snowfall!!

awesome place Pete, Thank you for the break down. my dream is is to one day build a tiny home of my home. ever since my wife left. I wanted to a tiny home and land. But in reality I could never afford it. Its a joy to see others like yourself in all walks of life being able to live this way. Protecting the environment, lowering the foot prince on God's great earth, My prayer and my hope is that one day the Father will make a way for me to have a tiny home of my own. Great videos. I appreciate that. I’ll be looking out for it. I live in El Paso Texas. I thought of buying a tiny home and putting it in Ruidoso New Mexico. It’s about two hours north of El Paso it’s in Lincoln national Forest.

That sounds amazing. We do not have any regrets buying the tiny. We only wish we could go there more often. Sara has another year of working, before retirement. So we are getting close. If you can, stop by RRC in Texas. They have 4 locations, but Mr Tiny works out of the one in Rockwall. The homes are so well built and the designs are amazing. Good luck on your future journey!!

Great transparency and info. Did you look for a builder closer to the final destination to try and save on shipping? I know there are many builders around the country who build the park model homes. What $30k upgrades did you do off the base model? The base model must be pretty plain jane if you spent 1/3rd of the total build price just in upgrades. Can you airb&b the place out when you're not staying in it to generate some income?

There may be builders near us, but we never located them. We found that there are alot of dealers near us, but not very many manufacturers. Most of the homes are made in the midwest or Texas. Haha, there were alot of upgrades. The biggest was adding the front porch and all the cedar beams. The interior southern yellow pine was a big upgrade, fridge, the island, fireplace..... the list went on!! But we dont regret a single item! Thanks for the questions and for watching.

Oh, and we can rent it out. In fact its been very popular for other owners in the park to rent for their famlies and friends that visit!! Its nice to earn some income from it!.

@gordonrieber9775 The park models are limited to 399 sqft. The rv's are limited to Class A, Super C and 5th wheels. No bumper tow or pop ups. There is no limit on the length of the rv's

What do you do for additional heat? Surely the mini split cant keep up with the montana cold?

The tongue unbolts and is stored under the porch, hidden by the skirting. Yes, you can stay through the winter. There are other owners that do. We mainly use the home during spring, summer and fall.

Good morning!! HOA's are $600 per year. That includes your water, sewer, garbage and access to all the amenities at the lodge. Very affordable!! Thanks for watching!

I'm in the same boat. We moved from NW Arkansas to Florida because she with hated the cold months. And Arkansas is not even Montana cold. I've been looking at the RRC site for some time and may travel down to Texas while we are in Arkansas visiting. We'll be moving out of Florida as soon as we can get her retired, in a few years. Somewhere further west, but still in the southern states, nearer to the grandkids. Nice cabin! 😎👌

If you watch RRC, then you know "Mr Tiny". We were very surprise when he reached out to us. About a week ago, he flew out to Montana and filmed an episode of "Living Tiny with Mr Tiny". The park allows up to 15% of the owners to stay year round. This is to minimize the impact on the local elk calving season. But the winters can be VERY COLD!!🥶. We just went through our 1st cold weather event in October. Temps got down to 14°, with a few inches of snow. And the home had no water or heating problems. That was good to see!!
