Cherry Street had the train station right off of it. LACKAWANA PLAZA was right there. Greenfield Park was right across the street from Pine Street.

Does anyone remember Cherry Street off of Pine Street back in the 60s? I lived there. Right off of Pine which Pine ran off of Bloomfield Ave. Joe Shores was on the corner, the corner store.

Does anyone remember Cherry Street? If so if you have any pictures of Cherry Street and the houses could you please post them? I would greatly appreciate it. Cherry Street was taken after they built the new condos on Pine Street.

Great question, @ValerieJohnson-k8n! Cherry Street has such a rich history, and it’s always fascinating to see how places evolve over time. I don’t have any pictures myself, but I hope others can share their memories and photos of Cherry Street and the houses. It would be wonderful to see how it looked before the new condos were built on Pine Street!

I remember Cherry Street from the 60s, @ValerieJohnson-k8n! Living right off Pine Street must have been special. Joe Shores on the corner was such a staple of the community. It’s amazing how those little corner stores hold so many memories for residents. If anyone has photos or more stories from that time, it would be great to share!
