It's a nice city the people are nice beautiful coastline too

It is nice. I wouldn't stay there again for a week, but I would not be bothered to fly in and stay a couple days when transiting elsewhere. Tivat is a busier airport actually but has very limited flights during off season. That said, this is mainly a bus transportation area - in terms of what we do. Thanks for watching and commenting, it means a lot to us!

Great city for the locals. They really look after it. Unlike here in the UK. Clean, no migrants wandering about. No tents in the streets.. Cars aren't honking horns. Even the graffiti is tidy. Agreed its not ideal for a month or so when traveling but very nice all the same. Good transit point between countries. Thanks for the video.
@JayandSarah7 ай бұрын
Most welcome. Your points are very valid. It is extremely clean. In fact, all of Montenegro has been clean so far.

I am from Podgorica. Tipping is not mandatory. You are only required to pay what is on the bill, just the price of drinks and food. In a restaurant I often go to, the waiters say that many foreign guests do not leave them even 50 euro cents, but some leave 10% more than the bill or even more. It usually depends on which country the guests come from, i.e. what their culture is in this regard.
@JayandSarah18 күн бұрын
@@MiroslavCosovic we are from a tipping culture but defer to local customs. In most places this means no tipping. As we travel full time this helps with expenses as we are almost always eating out.

Yes having little markplace ,because the Nazzi bombing had destroyed all old Podgorica

So true! But there has been time to build. As a tourist spot. Podgorica does not offer much.

Disappointed about the cover charge at the restaurant. We actively boycott the ones that charge them.

I didn't look for it, or see it on the menu... so.. who knows. If I had known, I would have gone elsewhere. It's not like you are going to a nightclub.

I've heard the capital city is nothing special. We didn't stop on our way from Serbia to Ulcinj. Thanks for another good video. Cheers from Canada!

For a capital city, it's pretty disappointing. Good for an overnight or 2 days if you are transiting, that is about it in our opinion. Most welcome!

We wouldn't stay here again unless it was an overnight waiting for a bus transfer. There's just nothing much going on. Pretty quiet.

Unless there an Irish pub with draught Guinness and/or an Indian restaurant I think I’ll give this place a miss

@@JayandSarah Not really true. There is an Indian restaurant in Podgorica, two Chinese restaurants, a Turkish one as well. And many pizzerias, of course. In bigger Balkan cities such as Belgrade you have a few Indian restaurants and a few Chinese ones, a Japanese restaurant, a Palestinian...
@withoutshadowww7 ай бұрын
Irish pub has been in Podgorica for around 30 years, it's not a new thing. There is a Scottish (?) pub as well.

@JayandSarah7 ай бұрын
The cover charge makes sense if you have people sitting down taking up tables drinking coffee and sipping on water for hours on end, which we know is common. But in what was a basically empty place that time of day, and we were ordering food and drinks... it was just wrong. They should tell you before you sit down of this stupid policy, or make it in effect for a minimum charge - which we were for sure over.
