Wow- such a beautiful place! Always wondered what it looked like. I spent months on a ship just off the coast in 94/5. But if you go a little further up the coast of The Adriatic, you'll find a whole bunch of disco pubs in Trieste. But thankfully you are heading south and back to Greece. Ever ask for coffee in Greece? They give you Nescafe. 😂

Another amazing video Gabriel. I stayed in Hotel Evrope as well in September last year, but air con was so noisy I couldn't use it, and had to have the window open. I only stayed 2 nights. I liked Podgorica been to worse capitals, but think Montenegro has absolutely better places to offer. I'm from Norway but I'm amazed how beautiful the Balkan mountains are.

I like Chardonnay and this variety does particularly well in Montenegro. Njeguški cheese and prosciutto are also delicacies.The name of the city-Podgorica means ,,under the mountains,,so I wish you all the best experiences in the area.👍

Very scenic bus ride. Reminded me crossing the Messina strait going in a train from Napoli, the train gets in a ferry to cross to Sicily , I think it's only 2 places in the world that exist these trains crossing in a ferry, not sure which is the other country, I think is New Zeland but not sure. Not too interesting Podgorica, probably the little towns around are more picturesque.

Been there once for 1 night, and I am pretty sure I stayed at the same hotel as it was next to the train station. The ugliest national capital in Europe in a tie with Chisinau in my opinion, it still has it's charms though and nice green areas, and excellent affordable food!

The main reason for that is because Podgorica was completely destroyed during Second World War. It was bombed multiple times by Allies killing almost half of the population. After the war Podgorica was a capital of the smallest of the six Yugoslav republics and not so important city. It was rebuilt it socialist era architecture style. Those are the reasons why it is not appealing for the eye. On the other hand, it has a good climate (except 30-40 days during summer) and is a liveable city.

This restaurant food lifestyle gotta be doing some damage to your body. It’s a slow process. Do you ever consider an apt with a kitchen? This is the only thing that I worry about when traveling extensively. Restaurants use the worst and cheapest ingredients.

@@CallumScottieCambell Don’t be naive. I travelled the world and tasted every dish. No restaurant in the world at a tourist spot uses quality ingredients. It’s cost prohibitive. They use the cheapest oils and condiments. The cheapest meats and chicken and shit isn’t even refrigerated correctly. 99% of restaurants wouldn’t pass a surprise inspection.
