The pictures do not do Montenegro justice. Not at all. It is that beautiful. Vegetarian and vegan fare are plentiful as well. Eggplant, goat cheese, baby chard, incredible tomatoes and tomato sauces, black olives, capers, and mature, European arugula are staples; iow, luxury food is normal. Off season is the time to go -- it isn't crowded, October is still a summer month, the best hotels are under $55 a night, even with a room right on the Adriatic. A lovely dinner for three is about $30 at a great restaurant. If you like Italy, you will love Montenegro.
