Hi.. for a hoist like the one I filmed, you need what is called a "Reversing" contactor. Now.. this was many years ago now, and that very hoist was sold.. so I do not have details on the exact contactor I installed.. but is should be relatively easy to identify a suitable reversing contactor that will fit in a similar hoist.

running the chain over that aluminum piece might be hard on the table saw bracket that the fence mounts to. Good luck with your hoist

Thanks for the feedback.. and you are right about that.. there is a risk to the table saw fence slider.. I kept that work to a minimum.. to try and prevent damage.. That old Table Saw has been has been with me a long time, and I've put it through a lot of different uses.. From cutting wood, to repairing small engines, to chain hoist repairs, bee boxes, painting, soldering, welding, and on and on and on... it takes a beating and sticks around for more.. I could not do without it.

hi, i didn't plug my hoist in after a year and now the chain does not move in any direction. Any idea what can be wrong? it does turn on and the remote only clicks, but no movement. Thank you in advance.

What were your troubles at first with your hoist? I just picked up the same model this weekend and your video was the first one.

When I took ownership of the hoist, it had a failed Reversing Contactor in it... That contactor is 100% mechanical, and it will eventually fail - no two ways about it... I shopped around, and found a reversing contactor on eBay that was not the exact model as the original, but it was new and had similar specs.. so I bought that, and installed it... it worked very well, and I evntually sold the hoist for a nice profit...
