Thank you for your comprehensive advise on living expenses in Bangalore. I lived there between 2002 - 2008, but expenses have exponentially increased all over the world (especially here in London), but Bangalore seems still a reasonable destination for working & living. My biggest concern is the 10 months rent in advance which has to be negotiated down to 6 months to make it manageable. Otherwise, this is a huge drain on resources. Nevertheless, based on your video content, I'd again consider returning one day. ThanQ.

3000 for outside dining is impossible, any dish that you order is minimum 500, even biryani which serves 1 costs 360-380. You skipped insurance which is necessary and kids expense which will be close to 15-20k per month. This 50k number is an eye wash. This is the bare minimum that one needs to live. This is the actual expense of a family with 2 kids and 1 parent. 1 lac goes in EMI of 2bhk. 25k for car EMI plus petrol and maintenance.(10 lac loan for 5 years, no car comes under 10 lac) 30k 2 kids fees. 15k to parents. 15k groceries. 15k miscellaneous. 5-6k for utilities and subscriptions. 4k spent on every weekend so 15k. That’s 2.2lac gone on basics. Plus phones, laptops, kids miscellaneous expenses plus insurance plus house maintenance plus some festivals shopping. This can easily go into 2.6 to 2.7lac per month. To get 2.7lacs, you annual compensation should be around 48-50lacs. This is the reality of bangalore. These are the basics which a normal family needs. Nothing fancy. Nothing is here that is splurged on. Imagine someone who grinded hard in his life to right from teenage years to get these highly specialised coveted jobs only to reduce expenses and live like peasant because , surprise, surprise, he can't afford a descent lifestyle in his city where these jobs are.

what ??? owner makes you pay for flat maintenance ? this does not happens in Mumbai...
@IndianMillennialWife9 ай бұрын
Since maintenance amount covers water bills and usage of amenities so here in Bangalore most tenants pay the maintenance amount as well

I was in Mumbai, I paid rent+ maintenance + parking ( separate parking charges for bike and car)
@MAXGAMMING258 ай бұрын
@@sachinshatageri9341 exactly... For owner of property..... rent is only income .... after that the owner have to pay for ' corporative housing society(CHS) ' it's maintenance amount from received rent amount... The agreement don't specify rent+maintenance amount.. I hope if that makes sense ...

@@Chimera2020 if you have a house, you can live with 10K in India. Average salary of an Indian is 13K and people are quite well managing it. without unwanted spending like cinema, party, eating in restaurant, going out, you can live.
