I agree he was just very unlucky at the beginning of the season and I think just got inside his own head about it. He could've easily had 10 goals in the first 20 some games they just weren't going in. So I agree I think he's going to have a bounce back year. Now with Laine in I think it's going to boost the whole team 💪 anyway we'll see super excited about the upcoming season either way 😅 go Habs go!!

He can't be worst than this last season so it's an up season this year for him. With Laine now on the team, Anderson fits much better as a third line winger. Still an overpay but if he can manage 15 goals and upwards of 30 pts, it will be an easier pill to swallow.

Graves 2020 with the Avs = +40. Graves 2023 with the Devils = +34. Who were Graves defensive partners when he led the league in +/- in 2020? 2020 1st: Graves = +40, 2nd: Dougie Hamilton/Jaccob Slavin = +30. 3rd: Victor Hedman = +27. Graves had the best PLUS/MINUS in the whole league! Cale Makar/2020 = +12 on the Avs. The Avs only have 3 players in the top 50 players in +/- and Makar finished 40th at +12. TRUST ME IT'S MIKE SULLIVAN. Funny note: In 2023 Graves finished 5th in the league with a +34 while Matt Grzelcyk finished 2nd overall at +46. Extra note: Graves also can't score on the Pens. Points totals for Graves: 28, 26, 26, and 15 (in only 54 games). He only had 14 points on the Pens in 70 games. YIKES, what a change Mike Sullivan really is.

Another "no one" who Crosby made very good was Conor Sheary. In terms of playing, Sheary is a grinder, with the occasional goal scoring touch (though he had a miserbale season). But Sheary had 20+ goals and 50+ points the season the Penguins last won the cup. While I'm not a fan of Crosby, I really respect him and his career.

Anderson would be great in Pittsburgh. More speed and grit for an aging team. He wouldn't need to make plays just take the puck and rush to the net. Let Sid handle the complicated stuff.

LoL Ryan Graves no chance. Anderson is actually useful as a bottom 6, the Habs need cap in 3-4 years to sign all their youth and why they took a 2 year term no problem on Laine so the extra year is dumb on Graves as well

Terrible take on all sides. Pens have three or four too many forwards as is, they wouldn't add another without sending one back. Pens are trying to get younger, adding glass, mcgroaty, promoting O'Conner to the top line, and signing Lizotte/beauviller who are both 26 I think we're all moves to get younger and it's expected some combo of old guys neito (ltir) Eller and acari will be moved. Anderson has been in decline for years, has only broke 35 pts once in his career, and has been a minus player for all but two seasons in the NHL. Graves has more recently looked like a legitimate NHL player and while I'm sure the team would move on from him if it was advantageous to do so, they aren't taking a significantly worse player in return. Graves will be given a year to get comfortable on a new team in a new system. He was mis-cast as the defensive player for either karlsson or letang yet even in his worse year in the NHL he was still a plus ten to Anderson's what, minus 20 something? Graves can still be an overpaid but effective 3 pairing defender when paired with a guy like st Ivany where Anderson wouldn't beat out eller, Hayes, pusstinen, Lizotte, O'Connor, acari, or glass for a spot in the pens lineup.
