MONTS GROULX | SOLO EXPEDITION IN BEAUTIFUL UAPISHKA MOUNTAINS CANADA | WITH MY HILLEBERG NAMMATJ 2

Welcome to my 4-day expedition to the Uapishka Mountains (Groulx Mountains) in Quebec - Canada. It's a very isolated, wet and wild environment, with no trails, and where map, compass and GPS are essential! I'm using my Hilleberg Nammatj 2 a 4 season tent for this trip because I didn't know what to expect in terms of weather conditions. I'm in the middle of black bears and mooses territory, I was able to see some tracks but I did not come across any.. The hike was difficult, as you sometimes had to make your way through dense vegetation on a very wet terrain. But the views were stunning and well worth the effort!

Vidéo sensationnelle Jeremy ! Les images a couper le souffle font rêver l'aventurier qui sommeille en moi . Tes images de drone montre un paysage quasi extra terrestre de par ses formations et ses couleurs . D'ailleurs , avec ta musique qui accompagnait si bien tes images prises du ciel , je me serais cru dans le film Blade runner 2049 par moment 😅 . Tu as certainement eu des moments difficiles , comme accéder au plateau nomade si on en juge par tes images . Mais j'imagine que ta plus grande difficulté a été de traverser toutes ces tourbières présentes sur ton trajet . J'aurais bien aimé que tu nous montre au début de ta video une carte avec ton itinéraire et les distances entre chaque camps pour qu'on puisse s'immerger d'avantage dans ton aventure . Quel est le sac ventral que tu portais , et quelle était son utilisation ? Est-ce que l'équipement que tu as apporté t'a satisfait ? Si tu le refaisais , y a t il de quoi tu changerais? Merci beaucoup pour ce magnifique partage , tu as touché une corde sensible dans l'échelle de mes rêves.

Merci pour ton beau commentaire comme toujours Sylvain ! J'ai beaucoup travaillé sur cette vidéo. Oui le Plateau Nomade j'avais une pente de 35% dans la végétation avec un sac de 45lbs sur le dos... mon sac ventral, je l'ai depuis l'Islande. Cela me permet d'avoir toujours le nécessaire à portée de main sans poser mon sac (GPS, système satellitaire de communication, tout pour allumer un feu facilement, boussole, carte du terrain, une barre tendre...) en terme d'équipement comme tu peux le voir j'ai pris ma tente d'expédition hillberg ne sachant pas les conditions météo. En terme d'équipement emporté je suis satisfait, toujours un compromis entre confort, légèreté et résistance. Je ne suis pas de la gang du tout Ultralight. Ce qui prime pour moi avant tout, en étant solo, c'est la sécurité et la fiabilité dans un environnement hostile. Je t'enverrai une carte de mon trajet sur ton instagram ! I Bring 20000 mAh powerbanks with me. In Iceland when I did my North to South Traverse in 2022 (18 days) I brought a 20W solar panel as well. Yes I am not part of the Ultralight community 😄😄

@@TheCanadianXplorer not exactly light these batteries, no 😉 I brought a 20k one as well on my last trip, plus a smaller one. That was barely enough for 6 days, but the cold wasn't helping. I'm still impressed how you make it last including several long drone shots every day!
