@@thesquaremonger even the current tutorial isn't that great, it's better than HOI4's but that isn't any actual competition, sitting around waiting for the next thing because I'm paralyzed by indecision as a new player while feeling like I'm missing out on too much by doing so isn't a great feeling to be experiencing *in the tutorial.* granted the why & how explanations are suuuuper helpful, I just wish it was more structured instead of free flowing, I really struggle to get through tutorial like that though.

I just started Vic 3 for the first time. Decided to do a 'learn the game' scenario. It told me how to move about the map, what a few of the menu buttons on the UI were for and then just dropped me onto a map with no direction or idea what to do first or how to do it.

I love Paradox games, however ive tried playing this about 15 times, everytime it makes me feel like im dumb as shit. I still havent completed a walkthrough it always ends with me frustratingly exiting game followed by ordering my favourite takaway to make myself feel better. The most useful thing in this is the "this tool tip is useful" and "don't look at this tool tip" and I love you for doing this. Seems I hals totalt missed the peasants number and was spiraling because of it.

tip for new player watching guide before playing can be very complicated and hard to adapt i recommend you to play it first just click randomly don't focos too much detail because you gonna get bored after a few hours of understanding nothing you can come and watch this guide it would be easier to learn im a new player too but now i understand the basic of the game now

belgium is probably the best nation to start with (again). a small tight knit state and nobody has declared war on me thanks to the uk in the first 30 odd years ive been playing it so i learnt some basic of the economy.

Seebia is great as well. One province to manage and start with turkish protectorate which you can relatively easily leave

I played it yesterday for 8 hours. Yes it’s fine, the graphics are good and it’s easy enough to understand. I played a Chile run and will try another later, but I found it too easy on standard settings. The liberal industrial route in politics is just the best way. I only faced one revolution around the 50 year mark and it was easy enough. I wish they improve the military and diplomacy aspect.

Your dye workshop example made no sense. The demand for dye went up 50 units, but the supply only went up 10, increasing the price of dye from 40 to 52. Dye is the input good and therefore should increase production costs after the change in dye price. Therefore you should be making less money from the switch than the substitution estimated, not more. What am I missing?

Guys this game isnt that hard. You just need to be willing to mess up horribly and fail multiple times (and have no idea why u just lost ur country) before things start clicking in ur head. These videos help but nothing helped me more than just diving in head first and dont be afraid to load a previous save. Ur learning the game who cares if u loose or if u go back. Just keep banging ur head against the wall.

Why no one has tutorial on prestige.. for anyone new just letting you know if u play as unrecognized power you basically can’t do shit when it come to most if not all diplomatic decisions… More prestige = more diplomatic actions Which is ok but what makes it a bitch is that of it says “have 30 prestige to become minor power” that threshold increases as years passes and if you start as unrecognized power you’ll be playing catch up while that threshold stay increasing

I like the game but holy hell frick the British I was playing prussia and I formed the German empire and it's like the British got a vendetta on me I invaded the quing to defend the British since they helped me in 1843 however it's like they hate me they fired on me and I ended up in a war with them from 1875 to 1881 and it ended with them winning so I got my revenge when I destroyed them in eithiopia 1903 to 1912 before the entire world went to war.
