This is a staple of end-of-year sketch shows at schools! Most Brits can recite every line off by heart, "This parrot is no more. It has ceased to be. It's expired and gone to see its maker. This is a late parrot... If you hadn't nailed it to the perch it would be pushing up the daisies. It's run down the curtain and joined the choir invisible. This is an ex-parrot." And don't get me started on the Lumberjack Song...

Hello, I'm re watching Flying Circus for the tenth time I think and I don't know if I'm going insane or what but that "bizarreness" makes more sense with every new watch 🤔😁. Their intelligent, abstract, absurd sense of humor is as great as their acting; sometimes I get lost thinking of their perfect diction while saying very fast very intrincated sentences in a "woman's" high tone, all too difficult 😱. You don't try to make sense of Monty Python... it's the entire absurdity of the comedy that makes it so funny. Many other British shows have come out since with a similar humour - but this was ground breaking as it was the first. It sort of reverberates some of the humour that could be seen in the Music Halls of the early 1900s.
