I'm not familiar with the revival version. I'm used to the 2005 Sara Ramirez version, which still parodies soul/pop singing but with completely different riffs and runs, so this threw me off trying to sing along. I wonder if that's the permanent version for the show or if this actress Leslie Kritzer did this on her own.
@notgoinnowhere11 ай бұрын
This is what Leslie and the revival’s music director came up with for this production. If you listen to other audios out there you’ll notice her choices are pretty consistent. I imagine if this revival lasts long enough for new actresses to come in that they’ll slightly adjust things to suit them like they did for the replacement casts in the original production.

Nowhere close to Sara Ramirez. Kritzer tries way too hard and overdoes it which makes the whole thing not nearly as enjoyable. The only good part of this is the Elphaba riff at the end in my opinion.
