As retired RN I know what you are talking about, but 25 pts in one day that is almost an impossible job,, I work mostly geriatric in in the USA in nursing home 40 pts and it took me almost all day to dispense all the tube feedings and other medications and do finger sticks before insulin and between all that assessment and admission. It was a wonderful experience

Huge respect for nurses in general. However I so admire district nurses for their dedication and hard work. Good grief some of those stories are horrific. I couldn’t do that job. I really do appreciate you as a nurse and a kind person. Thank you for your services. Love your channel too. ❤️❤️

I know what you mean about people being more difficult to treat at home. I am incredibly lucky to be a live-in caregiver for an elderly gentleman who is diabetic and nearly paraplegic. Luckily he still has feeling in his legs and feet and can move them a very small amount but he is unfortunately unable to stand. We had a bit of a mishap about six months back where he needed to be in the hospital for a few weeks. I learned so much and while I am frustrated with myself for allowing the situation to arise in the first place, I am a much better and more competent caregiver as a result. I went to the hospital for about 14 hours each day and I was grateful to learn as well as helping the staff there work with my clients unique anatomy and pathology. Every time I meet a nurse of any kind, RN, CNA, et cetera, I always make a point to let them know how much I appreciate them. Truly it takes a special person to be successful in any healthcare profession. I believe it demands a level of empathy that goes above and beyond the average.

Oh you reminded me of when I was called to the ER to do an echocardiogram on a patient who had maggots in his wound. That was before COVID, but I had to wear a mask just to have a slight shield between the stench and me. Hard working man, you are and was probably one of the kindest nurses that patient ever saw. Thanks.

I’ll watch this twice because I was so intent on the details of your typical day of being a district nurse that I only gave passing notice to the actual removal. What you dealt with on the other side of all those doors would make most people turn away. Think of the comfort you gave along with jabs, meds and bandages! In Canada we have The Victorian Order of Nurses, founded in 1897 and going strong, providing many levels of care. These men and women are angels on earth. Thank you for all you did for your patients. ❤

I appreciate your sharing your stories. I was a nurse in the US for over 30 yrs. I had a similar story to one of yours where a man came in for pre-op blood work and had cockroaches coming out of his colonoscopy bag. The lab tech screamed and scared the poor guy!

I’m a long time watcher, first time commenter. 😅 I’m an avid wEARdo and I’ve frequent all the regular channels. But I keep coming back to yours. (I admit I do love the sounds 🤪) I share your fascination with the KZbin analytics and genuine curiosity in why we all love these videos so much. 🤷🏼♀️ Please keep sharing the analytics. It definitely made be feel less wEARd to know that I am not the only middle aged American woman who watches your videos late at night. 😉

My 10 year old daughter loves to watch various “satisfying videos”, so she introduced ear wax cleaning videos to me. She quickly got bored of them, but now these are literally all I ever watch on KZbin. I wish someone would do a proper study on why women find these videos so soothing. 🤤🤤🤤😴😴😴
