you have to remember when this came out it was a very different time, I was in the 6th grade and now am almost 70 years old and it is still music that most people would like today. I don't understand why they find this funny.

Dude, why do you assume that rock stars are rarely lonely? Their struggles in love are like those of other people. This song was based on a true story of the lead singer Justin Hayward’s own life. You missed the plot.
