I have the Boss SY-1 and the Meris Enzo, but I still would like to check this out when it becomes available. At the very least, it can be on the backup-board. 7 Presets is also quite impressive for such a tiny pedal. I don't think we need too many presets with this kind of pedal, but more is always better, of course. Overall, if it's ultra-affordable like I'd suspect it would be, then two thumbs up for Mooer.👍👍

@@sennstrato7281 Maybe I’m coming in a bit late, but: I have the SY-1, which I think is a great synth pedal (sadly, my wallet couldn’t stretch to the Enzo, but one day...). Preset-based, so easy to dive in with; I can use about 70% of the presets (some are a bit gimmicky, TBH), but the good ones are great). Expression-pedal and footswitch “combo” input (it’s either/or); tap-tempo is possible, but for a single footswitch I had to have a custom TRS cable made. Overall: I definitely recommend the SY-1.

I ordered one, because I'm starting to think some of the negative demos which initially repelled me from being interested in this pedal, may have been by ppl who are biased vs strange or unusual efx, and they weren't interested enough to dial in deeper settings and only demo'd the canned presets.

Personally, I want some sounds but I don't want to have spend hours creating a sound, twiddling knobs and thinking about how an oscillator works. I just want a few key sounds - piano, organ, strings, maybe some others. I also want them without a hex pickup. Yeah I agree with the thumbs down. I love Mike on most of what he demos but this particular pedal is pretty cheesy. Companies come up with some whacky sounds that are un guitar like and call it a synth. In my opinion Mike is one of the tastiest pickers out there but the reviewer earlier said it. Even he can't save this useless piece of tin. If someone came up with a pedal that actually had the fat quality of an actual synth it would be a hit. String pads, organ, Rhodes, Moog etc. then I'd get excited. I have the 25 year old Roland that has no sounds but triggers a synth and amazingly it still kicks ass over all the new attempts like Triple Play and devises like that. I'm forcing myself to just make the guitar stand on its own and be happy.

Not a patch on the dirty robot. cheap sounding in the face of a mono synth and the arpeggiator is useless. for a ring modulator I prefer my gonkulator and I'm gonna be honest, I'm in a bad mood after playing with it feeling proper let down. it's a lemon. I thought I was gonna get bang for buck but in all honesty I've been butt banged instead... I expected a pedal I could actually have fun with. its disappointing, it doest like humbuckers and every single sound is oversaturated or tinny and limp. I have a lot of pedals and this pedal defines the word poor imitation. It's honestly cringeworthy sound quality. I'm selling it on and wont be buying a mooer product again.
