I grew up visiting this idyllic farm…it is literally like stepping back in time to a quieter, more peaceful existence. When you enter the driveway, it’s like you’re entering a beautiful “room” from nature surrounded by gorgeous trees and wildlife. My friends lived here, and visiting them in this farmhouse reminds me of happy times with old-fashioner hospitality where you were invited in to stay for as long as you want and talk. I love the screened-in front porch and being able to talk while enjoying the great outdoors was always a bonus. This is a truly a hidden treasure in the great north woods of Maine.

Wow... Jim Rice... I'm an old White Sox fan and remember a game against the Red Sox when Rice broke his bat on a CHECKED SWING without even making contact with the ball. I was watching it on TV and it was replayed in slow motion a few times, making it clear that the bat never touched the ball. One of the most incredible moments in sports that I ever witnessed.

Everyone used to own a small Maine farm. It did not hurt kids to learn skills, have chores and feel part of the family because they were needed, pitched in and worked hard to stay on the farm! I am glad I was raised on a farm and wish everyone could have that experience like your Grampie / Gram did.

Very rustic. Floors are needed. Lots of paint. Upgrades. Going back to 1950s in this home. Pierre Lacombe my grandfather had home like this. He was outdoorsman East 2 hour from Waterville. 150 acres. Fishing gear. Hunting gear. 30 weapons, traps , boots and basement full of vegetables. Freezer for Venison. Rabbit. Pheasant . Fish. The place was a mess! However IT WAS HOME. Full of joy! Busy daily. Family visited often. He was tough French Canadian. Quebec 1897-1974 Waterville nursing home. Cancer of nose got him -Melanoma

Another use for those angled windows were for removing a coffin, if someone died in the upper room. Often, the staircases were narrow and winding, so the coffin was passed through that type of window. Nice place, but needs lots of TLC

Land is really nice but for real that home needs a lot of work . Might be priced a bit high in my humble opinion . Just to update that electric is going to be a lot to tear out and upgrade . I guess if you're a handy man you can do it all your self and save 15,000 dollars It's a farm you need 200 AMP at the least

Probably ought to do a walk through and bring your clipboard. Adding an outlet or two to a farmstead is to be expected. I can show you comps for past recent sales, current farm property listings and if you go through a bank James, an appraiser will bear out the value. Usually, there is no bank in these purchases though. If you want modern and new, consider land just land and building. Here to help you line up the local contractors.

LOVE the land, but wondering why so many homes in Maine are not treated/stained to help them last....sometimes they just put plywood siding up and no real siding....is there a reason? I like the faded look but I think staining it would help it last...maybe? Very nice place, I would love love to have a long secret driveway like this.❤

Board and baton for you to have whatever color you want. This is real native Northern Maine wood for siding... not T-111, not vinyl... something newer than original. Lots of expensive updates from drilled well, new septic, standing seam metal roof, topped, lined chimneys, thermopride oil hot air furnace, etc. One heck of a location. 😃

If nothing had been done since the 1970's remod, might use the label. But with new standing seam metal roof, new topped chimneys with liners, new drilled well, new concrete septic, updated kitchen and tile floor bath... that gives you the most expensive important items done. Suddenly the 60 acres, home, buildings and this list price is wrong, outdated. It requires new video because can't edit the existing one already uploaded. In this market especially that is like a mash emergency field tent hospital buys and I need to be shooting, editing, uploading new property videos not re do's of old ones to "supply feed" the audience. 😃
