@@liselottefrejdig1112 the price doesn't play a role here. Animoog is in my live setup since years and I will not miss it. It's one of the synth that inspires me most.

One of the best features here is expression MPE. How to record this because from a typical host the expression is lost.

technical not possible due of OS restrictions. Its only possible with new macOS versions.

That's why I won't get the Mac version because they want you to buy a new M1 Mac to run it.

@@synthanatomy thanks, but everything suits me at the moment, all programs work, bitwig, ableton, plugins. the problem is only in moog.
@synthanatomy2 жыл бұрын
@@Пока-к8 not a problem from Moog but a macOS restriction. You need to download the iOS version to your macOS in order to run the VST/AU version in your DAW. MacOS 10.15.7 doesn't support iOS apps.

thank you so much for this video! but i was wondering how can we record the song we make with the app? Cause i did not find any button or thing
@synthanatomy3 жыл бұрын
There is a recorder inside the app or use Animoog as an AUv3 plugin. I use an iOS DAW or the audio mixer app AUM that let you host AUv3 apps and record them internally.

If you download this version when you already have the old version installed, will it overwrite the old version? or do you get to keep both versions?
@synthanatomy3 жыл бұрын
Hey Frank, it's a new app and not an update. So you can have both apps installed on the same device. The old version becomes obsolete in term of usability as you can run multiple instances of the Animoog Z as an AUv3 plugin in a iOS DAW or AUM.

As SA said, it is a separate app. But also, there is a straightforward method to copy all existing presets from Animoog to Animoog Z, it's in the manual and is just a few steps, just takes a couple of minutes to do. It doesn't guarantee they will sound *exactly* the same but on the other hand they're now within an AUv3 plugin and can have an additional axis of modulation if you want to tweak them.
