i got the entry level NiftyCase which came with 2 modules all under 300 bucks. i didn't realize it til later that it re-introduced me to the basics: the oscillators, waveforms, lfos. given the basics, i learned about finding sweet spots. what an amazing feeling. feels like a rebirth. i still don't know.... but it's beautiful just like this piece from Swatrick Payze. that is ONE HUGE BEAUTIFUL SWEET SPOT. very beautiful and heavenly. can't even express in words... thank *YOU* Swatrick. and thank *YOU* moog.

Sam Levine Hey Sam! Thanks man... When i try to arrange my music in a daw it feels kind of cold to me. I love to express myself on the fly and go with it. Unfortunately i only have two hands 😀 So i i overdubbed the chords with my deepmind 12, but also in one take. Cheers, i hope i can add more stuff soon :-)

Can you describe how you did this? I have a Mother 32 + DFAM too but I cannot figure out how you did this?
@swatrick_payze Жыл бұрын
Hey there, it‘s been a while but here are some notes: the dfam was running a pre tuned melody. i tuned every knob to the scale of the mother. the dfam is running freely. i matched the tempo by ear. both synths are going into my daw and have been treated with some post fx (soundtoys echoboy and valhalla vintage verb) the dfam vco is also going into the mother ext in and is added in the mix here and there. hope that was helpful. enjoy your synths!! ;-)

I would love a little more details on the patch. I have been using the advance clock to sync. you are using VCO to mix to external audio. please explain more,. great jam.
@swatrick_payze4 жыл бұрын
manvscivilization Hey hey, it‘s been a while. Looks like i patched both VCOS from the DFAM to my Mother Mixer Inputs and the Mix out to my Ext. Input. With this patch i‘m able to play the dfam through my mother‘s filter and envelope generator on top of my dfam out. The melody of the dfam is preprogrammed via the pitch knobs. The clocks of both modules are free running and synched by ear 😉. I hope that was helpful. At 10.000 clicks i‘ll make another video with my extended system 😅

The problem is, you can't save what you just did unless you record it live. There needs to be a PC compatible version that can save all your inputs.
@swatrick_payze4 жыл бұрын
crazzylee I think that‘s the magic of playing a semimodular or modular synth. It‘s about improvisation. Capturing a moment and stick to it. :-)
@crazzylee4 жыл бұрын
Swatrick Payze I get that. With that being said I still think it should like a moog one.
@MrJackal433 жыл бұрын
That’s because these are Moog instruments not “digital groove boxes.” Go backs to your laptop boi.
@crazzylee3 жыл бұрын
@@MrJackal43 my guess the Moog one is digital to you. Realize there are analog instruments that have a save feature. For example, the DSI Rev 2, Moog one, etc, wise up first before texting.
