That demo jam was INCREDIBLE!

Agreed. Even two years after this was recorded, I've yet to find anyone who can do anything as good on the M32, even harder with more than one.

That demo at the end = Bonkers. Great as ever Nick, thanks!

I've been praised for my Mother-32 demos, even by a couple of Moog employees themselves, but that tune at the end completely blows away anything that I've done with my three Mother-32s! Beautifully done Nick!

That is an incredible value when you go out and price some individual Eurorack modules. This would be a fantastic intro to modular synth for anyone and with the sweet sound and bulletproof quality of a Moog.

It's late 2018 and I'm back to hear that closing demo.. one more time. Absolutely sublime tones invoking emotions not typically reserved for gear reviews. Well done sir.

As always a great review. The piece at the end is lovely. Those Moog sounds flow as smoothly as spreadable butter on a scone. So, in conclusion, It's the perfect synth for afternoon tea.
@barrowmeoct047 жыл бұрын
Thank you... that fueled a growing curiosity I have for Moog. Everything I knew about Moog was only hearsay (which was pretty much nothing really), but because of KZbin reviews/demos I'm discovering the amazing magicalness that can be created through this instrument (can I even call it an instrument?) ... AMAZING...

+sonicstate Nick, your demos are always spectacular. I always come to your demonstrations because I really dig your taste in synthesis. You should put your tracks up as a download, even if they are just quick and dirty-Quick and dirty can be good. All the more impressive if they aren't multitracked, right? Like this one is *seriously* impressive. Cannot wait for you to review the Minilogue. I know you'll be able to show me the kinds of sounds that I want to hear from it, if it can do it, unlike all these other chumps on KZbin ;)... (Except Doty I guess).

Love the demo at the end and very awesome review showing off routing ability. I have my first one already and it integrates beautifully with my modular and also driving my minibrute. Also have a new Korg Minilogue and sequencing them both from an mv8800 while the cv outs still drive the modular and brute. 2nd is back ordered but will probably pick up a third too. Between Minilogue and the Mother, a lot of sound sculpting can be done. Two different beasts entirely and each a great buy at pricepoint. Love your demos and reviews!
@vondragonnoggin8 жыл бұрын
Also thinking this might be a great pairing with a Dreadbox Erebus. Another great unit that sounds amazing for the price sold at.
@dualitysoundlab32275 жыл бұрын
I've already watched this video, dunno how many times ( got a mother32 way more than a year ) and just now I noticed at @6:32 saying that you cannot control with a CV the VCO MOD AMOUNT. Which you actually CAN DO if you turn the VCO MOD SOURCE switch at EG/VCO MOD. On that position you can control the VCO MOD AMOUNT with a CVsignal through the VCO MOD INPUT on the patchbay! You seriously are one fo my favourite channels by far, I love your passion, technicality and approach so I hope that this comment doesn't look like something else than what it is, constructive feedback! You're still the best at what you do!! Cheers!! \m/ \m/

Highly recommend using a compressor with the Mother32 to help maintain volume while adding resonance to the filter. I've tried a bunch, all the boss cs1,2,3 and several others.....best I've found is the Fender The Bends Compressor.

Nick, I would love to hear some of the sonic trickery you could cook up pairing a Mother 32 and a Dreadbox Erebus. Also, in absolute agreement with the masses on the fade-to-black jam. One of your finest!
